Chapter 315 - 1 and 0!

Passing by the alleyway, Caelum never expected to run into those drunk men from two days ago that still had their injury visible. The gang was at least 10 to 15 men with thug-looking people that stared intently at him. 

"Hey kid, you are pretty brave for messing with a member of our gang!"

It was still early in the morning which meant there weren't people around to see what was happening. Their confidence to get away if they were to beat him and take the girls.

"Look boss, he has a pretty girl behind him. You don't mind if I have her.

Their gaze held murderous intent at Caelum while lusting towards Nino who shudder in fear but calmed down when Caelum's tall figure hide her from them making him in a daze.

The moment that the idiot spoke his sexual intention felt the primal instinct to reawaken upon witnessing the eyes of the young man before him.

It was not the eyes of a human instead of a ferocious beast baring its fang. He could feel it, the shadow endlessly wrapping itself until nothing was left. Those gazes were the abyss itself where monsters lived.

Caelum silently placed the grocery down turning towards every individual that took a step back sensing the danger around him. He only stood silently looking at them and yet their necks tightened while their body quivered in fear.

"Nino, it's best if you close your eyes for this. A pretty girl should not see this. You can go ahead, I'll bring the groceries."

Caelum turned to look at her with a smile that made her flustered upon hearing the compliment. However, she was extremely stubborn in this kind of situation.

"No, I'll stay! I don't want to leave you to get beat by these people."

"Bastard you dare ignore us!?"

A dumbass dashed towards him with his weapon raised, preparing to attack them chasing Nino to close her eyes and shield herself yet nothing happened. 

She slowly removes her hands perplexed to see the person standing in a place like a statue before falling into the ground. Caelum had struck his abdomen instantly knocking him out.  

"I have no ill intent nor do I bear any grudge to any of you…."

He took a stance and vanished from his spot appearing in front of the lustful who swung its metal pipe, however, he was too slow when in the blink of an eye his entire rib was broken upon Caelum one inch punch.

"However, I hate scum like you who are blinded by lust."

They came out of their shock surrounding Caelum from all sides raising their weapon but all tripped when he used the lowest round kick and as they fell used his hand to spin himself. 

Afterward took a stance that palm strikes the remaining thugs internally damaging their organs and bones. Their body is unable to scream the pain spread through their body instantly knocking them out.

He had greatly improved the gentleness of his attack that intensified the internal damage. Caelum deep despised rape and indecent things when it comes to women. 

They lay into the ground acquiring one final glimpse of Caelum looking at them without any emotion, only a dead cold gaze. All had the same thoughts.

'Demon!'

Their consciousness faded as Caelum exhaled slightly annoyed that his smooth day was ruined by these fools. 

"Don't move or I'll shoot!"

He turned to see a quivering man pointing a gun towards him. The person was the only person that was able to escape unscathed for not trying to attack.

"Go ahead, shoot but if you miss then the result will be the same."

"Bastard, I warn you!"

"Caelum!"

Nino screamed afraid that he may die seeing the gun pointed at him only to see that not Caelum was alive but the person was unable to pull the trigger.

His folded index and middle finger buried deeply into his abdomen then slowly removed his fist causing the person to faith. 

'It's difficult to use shunpo without any energy.'

The movement, flash step allowed him to move at lightning speed for a brief moment. It was his primary movement skills until the shadow step where he used magic. 

He was able to use it by applying the force stores from his body into his legs, greatly increasing his leg.

Caelum saw Nino who was in shock quickly use his mental energy to calm her mind. She looked at Caelum with tears in her eyes.

"I-I thought you were going to get…"

"I won't say I didn't warn you but it's all over now. I'll go ahead and call the police."

After a few minutes of calming Nino, they headed back to the apartment leaving the beat-up thugs tied up by using their clothes and once the police arrived at the location.

They were all dumbfounded to see on the concrete wall, a message was written telling them what exactly happened. Caelum didn't have a pen or paper and resulted in writing on the wall.

Meanwhile, the two walked their way silently to their apartment with Nino still frightened from earlier. She was a normal girl and hadn't been in a fight like Caelum or any of his lovers.

"Are you alright? Do you want to rest for a bit?"

"N-No, it's just glad that you're alright that's all."

"Hahaha, that makes me happy but still sorry since those idiots were aiming for me and dragged me into the mess."

"You don't need to apologize! I was the one who refused to leave."

Nino felt slight guilt knowing she could have been using it to threaten him if they had the chance. She cast her head down in shame before someone flick her forehead.

"Aw! What was that for?"

"Hehehe finally got your attention. That was for ignoring and this for being stubborn."

Caelum proceeds to pat her head removing the doubt and troubling thoughts out of her mind. 

"We should forget what happened and just focus on other things, alright?"

"Uhmm alright."

Nino cutely nodded, enjoying his divine head pat letting her feel the warmth of his hand. After a while, they arrived back at their apartment and went straight to their rooms. Caelum took the moment to place his own in the refrigerator before joining Nino in their home.

"Sorry for the intrusion."

Caelum said turning to see that they weren't anyone awake as of yet. He could hear them in the rooms above the stairs. 

"You can place the grocery over there."

He nodded, placing the plastic at the kitchen counter. Caelum saw Nino wearing an apron that he found contrasting her stubborn personality. While she was tying her hair notice his intent stare made her blush.

"Is there the matter, Caelum-san?"

"I just thought that apron contrasts your stubborn personality."

"Wait what!?"

"Don't be all flustered, I think it's charming. Do you have an extra?"

"Y-Yes, here."

She turned to hide her blush, taking out an extra apron and handing it to Caelum who immediately wore it. Nino was stunned to see his appearance radiating the perfect man in her heart. She can't help but skip a beat.  

"Hmm? Why is your face all red? Are you feeling sick?"

Caelum placed his hand into her forehead to check the temperature feigning ignorance as to why she was all red. This causes her heart to rise even faster, their lips were near to one another it was only a few inches away.

"What are you two doing?"

"Eeeek!!"

Nino shrieks, turning her head to see Miku standing walking her way to them intently looking at the two people.

"Don't scare me like that, Miku!"

"I was doing anything, just asking. So what are you two doing besides flirting?"

"N-No, you're getting the wrong idea!"

"Good morning, Miku-san. I offered my help to Nino here and suggested helping prepare breakfast as payment for the meal last night."

Nino was slightly relieved to clear the misunderstanding yet felt pain for denying it.

"Same to you. Can I ask you something later?"

"Sure, I don't mind since I'm free until afternoon."

"What are you going to ask him?"

"That's for me to know unless you tell me what you two were doing."

"Ah…"

"Hahaha Miku 1 and Nino 0."

Caelum said, receiving a thumbs up from Miku while Nino turned around to look at him with an annoyed expression.

"Hey, which side are you on?"

"Neither. Anyway, I think we should get to business before everyone gets up."
