ch-3, Nightmare

Many hours later, Julian woke up from the sudden loud panting noices.

She looked around and found Davy desperately gasping and panting as if someone had held him by his neck.

He wasn't able to breath properly, He was continuously trying to grab something in his sleep. His body broke into sweat and he started muttering in sleep, "N-No! D-Dont Go!"

Julian got scared as this was the first time in many years Davy had acted this way. She started panicking and tried to wake him up, "D-Davy! Wake up! What happened! What's wrong?! Wake up!"

Davy soon opened his eyes. Julian tightly hugged him, her eyes became red and she started scolding davy.

"IDIOT! What was wrong with you!? Do you know how much you scare me!?"

Soon she heard sobbing noice, Davy was crying.

This was the second time Davy had ever cried in 13 years of his life.

Even when he was born, He never cried. Even then, Everyone was worried as to why the baby was not crying but Davy's eyes gave out different aura as if he could understand everything.

But seeing Davy suddenly crying, Julian couldn't help but get worried. She tried to comfort him and tried to not lose control over her emotions.

With a gentle voice, she asked.

"Davy, what's the matter? Did you have a nightmare? What happened?"

Davy slightly nodded his head.

Julian put a gentle smile on her face and tried to elivate the mood by saying,

"what kind of nightmare could even make my strong brother cry like a baby???"

Davy, with a sad face said, "I-It was about Dad"

Julian's face saddened. She tried her best to control her emotions yet tears started falling from her eyes when she was reminded of their father.

Not show herself crying again, Julian got up and put a fake smile on her face. Even though tears ran down her face, She maintained her composure and walked away after saying,

"I-Its all right Davy. Your sister is always here for you. You don't need to feel burdened by the past. What's more important is how you can handle the upcoming future."

Davy slightly nodded in respond.

As she went into the kitchen, Davy, in a daze started to remember his father.

"Harry Miller, My Father, The Eldest son of the Miller family and the Direct Heir to the 'Platinia', World's largest industry based company."

"My Father was very kind yet disciplined person. For his children, He was kind enough to even walk on the path of flames to protect them. But in business matters, He was known as the 'Ruthless Boss'. He would straight up fire anyone who he didn't find working as hard as one should be."

"This was also why the company was progressing well and maintained its position as the Top company for 10 years. But on my 6th birthday, My First Uncle and Second Uncle joined their hands to kill my Father. As my mom died while giving birth to me, if Dad also were to die, the leader of the company would be switched as we were too young for that position."

"Even though my dad was poisoned. He put his all into making me and my sister escape. Many bullets were stuck in his back and legs, yet he didn't flinch and carried us all the way to escape point. When we reached the escape point, My father only asked me to promise him that I'll protect my sister no matter what."

"With tears in his eyes, He said his last words... "I-I'm Sorry. I-I won't be able to see b-both of grow up. A-Altho I-I want to say alot of things...I don't...have much time left. Go far away from here, don't come back. Ch-Change your IDs and take care of e-each other." "

"He smiled and said, "R-Remember, I'll always b-be there...inside of y-you..inside....your....hearts..."

He took his last breaths in my hands. That was the first time I cried in my life."

"Since then we've been living in South Korea with the alias of Davy Parker and Julia Parker. We started working to earn money and purchased this small home of ours."

Davy started thinking even harder.. "But why now? All of a sudden..? Why did he say that it's not safe to reveal ourselves-"

Seeing him thinking this hard, Julian bonked him and smiled, "it's already 9pm and the foods ready. Let's eat now!"

Davy smiled and nodded.

While eating his food, Davy thought to himself,

"Don't worry father, I'll definitely protect my sister from every danger!"
