Chapter 13: Peace Offering

We waited in the emergency room for about an hour. The doctor said that Shin can be discharged right after his IV infusion is done then the hospital will just send Miggy the results of his tests after a few days.

We're all sitting around Miggy's bed, trying to keep ourselves busy. I was scrolling through my phone but I can't get rid of this nagging feeling that's bothering me since I saw the box of brownies. I have a hunch that I need to confirm so I got up from where I was sitting and approached Miggy's doctor.

"Doc." I quietly called out to him. He turned to look at me and smiled.

"Yes, what can I do for you?" He asked me

"I'm just curious about something doc. Is the symptoms my friend's experiencing normal for ingesting laxative?" I asked him and he just looked at me curiously. He paused for a moment then started to talk.
