Thinking about how Mr. McCoy can be so thoughtful prompted Kai to consider if he had been a little too harsh in his assumptions of the man in the first place.
Marian swanked her hips exaggeratedly as she walked, but Kaiden knew now that this was her customary walking style. The woman walked out in a svelte-ish manner, and Kaiden felt proud of the lady. He understood now how her occupation as a nurse rhymed with her excessive care and receptiveness.
After Marian left through the front door, Kaiden flipped a turn which caused his gaze to fall on the dirty dishes still on the table.
"Oh well!" he gasped, "I guess doing the dishes has become my jurisdiction for today."
Kaiden moved closer to the table and then started to clear the dishes out in a somewhat sluggish manner.
He'd decided to do things slowly because he felt since he had the whole day to himself, what use was it if he rushed the process and then got bored with nothing to do after a while?
