Larry turned to ask his girlfriend. 

''I honestly have no idea.'' Janet looked him up in a manner that showed how equally surprised she was and Larry decided to let her be.

''Know what, babe.. Let's just leave off to where we're headed. That brother of mine can be such a jerk at one time or the other.''

Janet said nothing but simply bounced herself out of there, Larry with her.

Kaiden, meanwhile, had barely walked a couple of paces up the stairs when he got interrupted by a sudden call.

''Master Chase..''

Kaiden recognised the voice of who had spoken, so he stopped abruptly to face her.

''Ms. Brandice.''

''Welcome back, Kaiden.''

''Yes.'' He said, ''It is unusual for you to leave the kitchen to this side, is anything the matter?'' Kaiden let his brows furrow into a squeeze as he waited.
