Lauren’s Useful Ability

Being with the person you truly love words aren't needed only their presence to keep you company and to know they have your back.

" I'll show you the way to the boss of this place," Lauren had a smile on her face.

" Oh you've met him," I said questioning her with my gaze.

" Him? lol. Yeah right. You mean she," Lauren's smile showed her bright teeth, which was a rare occurrence for her. Ever since our, relationship together became that of lovers she became rather playful.

" Oh! Now that I remember what time is it?"

" Around three in the afternoon, I tried to wake you up, but Lumin told me to let you sleep."

The walk wasn't long, I enjoyed the traffic this place had. There were many people I could sense as having supernatural power. What surprised me was there were just as many non-ability users, or I couldn't sense their aura which I doubted. I may be new to this world, but I could tell already, I am not weak by any means. The place felt like a modernized village from the medieval era, people were walking around with weapons on their person, I wondered the reason but came up with nada. I'll ask the big boss when I meet her.

The building of operations was a three-story tall marble building, with doors that looked like they would take multiple people to open. The building reminded me of a courthouse in regular cities. Lauren detached her hand from mine and waited behind while I went to open the giant doors. I pushed, but the door did not budge at all. I used all of my strength to no avail, I was seriously wondering how the do I get inside of this fucking building. I was looking around the entrance for clues when I heard something behind me.

"hahahahaha," Lauren had her hand over her mouth trying to contain the laughter inside herself, she failed horribly, there were even tears coming from her eyes.

" Hey, Why are you laughing at me? You try opening this bloody thing," I said hoping I could gain the little pride I had left.

"Okay then," Lauren walked up to the door with confidence, instead of trying to push the door open she went over on the wall beside the door and pushed a circular protrusion.

The door started to move before I knew the door was open, it opened as fast as the sliding doors at the grocery store.

"hehe," Lauren giggled as she grabbed my arm dragging me into the building. The inside smelled like cleaning supplies, with lavender mixed into the atmosphere. The walls, floors, and ceiling were all white. It felt weird as if I was out of place in this environment.

" This place gives me the creeps," I tightened my grip on Lauren's hand while giving her an uncomfortable look.

" The vibe I get here is a calm, non-obstructive environment. Also, I love lavender so its all good, you are the weird one,"

" I feel as though I'm in a mental institution."

" So, where is the leader in this place?" I said as we bounded around a corner heading up a set of glass stairs.

" She's on the top floor isn't that obvious for any leader of an organization, or corporation to make their office on the top floor of a building?" Lauren said as we finished climbing the set of stairs to the top.

We didn't talk the rest of the way, we arrived in front of a door.

*Knock *Knock *Knock

After a few seconds, we heard an elderly voice coming through the door, " Come in."

I walked into the room, instead of how the design of the building so far, the old woman who I now know as the boss had dark wood flooring with beige walls, she also had book shelve filled with countless different books. I was impressed with how the room was decorated, there was the smell of leather instead of lavender in here.

Behind a large wooden desk sat an old lady dressed in silk cloth wrapped around her body. Which formed a stylish dress.

" Come, Come. Sit the both of you," the lady beckoned us over with her wrinkly hand.

We sat down in the chairs that were positioned in front of the desk. The lady studied me from head to toe.

" Lumin was supposed to tell you things he promised you, mainly about your mother, but before we get into that I should explain your first ability which makes the Yeong clan want to hunt you down."

I've wondered what my ability was from my past life, but with all, that's been going on it easily left my mind. Like It is a support-ability and its S ranked, I wonder what it could be, well I better listen to what This lady has to say.

" Before I forget, my name is Dawn and I am the leader of the Black Rose's. We oppose clans such as the Yeong clan for how their operations are inhuman as you will know in a bit. Okay, let us start with the basics. You have an S rank ability and it is of the support class. However, your ability is far more than the average support, you can awaken people who have yet to awaken or would never awaken in the first place," Dawn stopped talking so I could digest and think about how I could use my ability.

That's far more amazing than what I could've imagined, I have a godly power. No wonder the Yeong want me so bad, if they had me they could raise an army of overpowered warriors and conquer the world if they wanted to. Truly scary. Her description had me and Lauren on the edges of our seats, literally.

" Of course there are drawbacks with the ability, you can awaken one person or strengthen one person. If you try more than one of each it is possible, but I highly recommend you don't do that. There is the possibility of losing your sanity from the weakness the ability puts on the user. Usually, it wouldn't matter but you have another S rank ability inside of you. The weakness seals your power that you exude and puts you just above human standards in strength, endurance, and speed, this also includes your defenses so the power has a chance of entering your brain and corrupting you with Life Essence Poisoning; the illness would derange even the strongest of mentally sound people."

Again with a hell a lot of information, Life Essence Poisoning is no joke. Like what the fuck, really man. I'm weakened for an entire day, I guess building an entire army would be very wasteful. but if they could get passed this barrier. I wonder how they could overcome this wall.

" With the infusion of both S ranked skills there could be more, sadly I can't give you this information. You'll have to find out yourself with trial and error. You should be careful though, I've known friends who have killed themselves by trying to find hidden parts of their powers," Dawn straightened her face putting a light smile on her face.

" How about you use your power now to awaken Lauren," Dawn said

" Lauren would you like me to awaken your powers?" I looked in Lauren's direction, probably need someone's permission for something like this.

"Do you realize how jealous I have been ever since seeing you and everyone else in this town!" Lauren's smile was raised to her eyes and her knuckled were white from squeezing the armrest of the leather chair she was in.

" How can I awaken her ability?" I couldn't just leave her hanging while she was so excited.

" You'll need to put your hands on her bareback, so Lauren you'll need to take your shirt off." Lauren unbuttoned her white button-up. Her pale skin and half-naked body made me want to pounce, but there is a time and place for everything and now is not the time.

" Now place your palms on her back, sense the power inside of you, it should look like a pale blue flame. Can you see it? After you find the flame, will it onto your hands and let the flames slowly seep into Lauren" She talked as she looked at old documents that she retrieved off her book shelve.

While searching inside of myself I came upon the blue flame that she talked about, and something unexpected a woman with a golden crown on top of her aqua colored hair. The woman was in a deep sleep, and I tried to wake, however, there was a field of invisible energy that burned to come close to her. I looked over at the blue flame, I would try to investigate this woman later on from Dawn after we finished our talk.

I willed the flame to come onto my palms, my palms were already on the surface of her back so the flames directly touched Lauren's back. At first, she spasmed, for a few seconds before slowly getting used to the sensation of an ice-cold flame on her bare skin. I let the flame flow into Lauren until I felt that she was filled up and could hold any more.

" Now what do we do?" I already felt the weakness she was referring to, it felt as if I were weighed down by hundreds of pounds.

" Now it's up to Lauren. Lauren, you must try to concentrate the flame in your lower abdomen, this will clear the cap that is cover her power from being released." Dawn said while paying close attention to Lauren in case she needed to intervene.

Lauren's aura was ever-increasing, enough to make both of us shiver in fright. What was inside her? This felt like the predator to all living things, enough to suppress the leaders downstairs and everyone in the town who wasn't to a certain threshold in their power, they either fainted or were paralyzed.

As she got closer to removing the cap that would let her power overflow, the pressure increased. Dawn was frantic searching her desk and boxes in the corner for something, I had no idea what she might be trying to find, maybe a device that would block her aura from releasing and affecting the whole town. Fangs started to grow from her canine teeth. Are you kidding me is her power what I think it is.

Dawn pulled out a disc looking shiny object, she typed a few settings into the disk. She threw the disk at Lauren's feet, a small blue barrier surrounded her. Instantly her aura vanished in the surroundings, everyone being suppressed was able to get on their feet, shakily at best, however, the people who were fainted and paralyzed would still take some time to come back to their senses.

I watched as Lauren grew claws on her skin from her fingernails, the fangs in her mouth were an inch long. Lauren's transformation started to revert itself to normal. Dawn picked up the barrier and deactivated it, she safely stored the device in her desk for safekeeping. Lauren looked tired, but overall you could tell she was stronger. Her aura scared me, it was the natural predator and prey instincts kicking in.

I walked over Lauren from the corner of the room I took refuge in," Are you okay? Is anything wrong?" Lauren looked at me with dull eyes.

"You look tasty, a different way from normal," Lauren looked at my neck, the hunger clearly showing in her gaze.

She tacked me, there was no way I could fight her off, I was weakened after all. She licked my neck, this gave me a tingling sensation in my crotch. This is wrong. Am I really getting turned on?
