May or May Not

Dalie: "Thank you for taking our request into consideration. Welcome to the Hunter's headquarters Irene Vale"

Irene: "Wait.. What about those Vartians that were after me?"

Dalie: "Oh you don't have to worry about them. They wouldn't lay finger on this building. It would only provide the gates of war to reopen unnecessary sacrifices! Anyways, enough of that! It's best that we start the experiment immediately. Now follow me miss Vale"

She takes Irene to an elevator that goes down a bunch of floors. They reach the "-4th" floor, An underground facility.

Dalie: "Irene Vale, this way please"

Irene: "What is this place?"

Dalie: "This is where the agency tries to advance our capabilities as ability users by using your ancestor's blood. But so far, we've only come across one technicality after another. Hopefully you'd steer the expected outcome that everyone is used to here. If we get another failed streak, we're gonna have to take down the project"

Irene: "Right... (No pressure or anything. Just don't disappoint us and we'll pay you as promised! Hah, hunters... intimidating as always)"

Dalie leads her to a room that has a pod in the middle and alot of wires all over the floor connecting from the pod.

Dalie: "Are you ready miss Vale?"

Irene: "...Even if I die, will what we agreed on be passed on to my family?"

Dalie: "Sure we can do that. And besides, you won't die.. I think"

Irene: "What?"

Dalie: "Just get in the pod Miss Vale"

Irene gets inside the pod and it closes. It's warm but the air seems to be a bit thin in there. Not even a second later, they turn on the pod and gas starts leaking inside. It causes Irene to fall asleep and then they start inserting tubes from the sides of the pod that injects Irene with the Vale Blood. After a while, they open it. Smoke seeps out of the pod as Everyone in the room anticipates the results.

Dalie: "Check her vitals now"

The lead scientist goes over to a monitor near the pod that shows Irene's vitals.

Lead Scientist: "Her vitals are normal. We should be good- huh?"

Dalie: "What is it?"

Lead Scientist: "Her heart stopped beating all of the sudden! Get her to a stretcher quick...ly..."

As the monitor shows that Irene has flat lined. They see her as she steps a foot off the pod and pop her head out from all of the smoke as if nothing is wrong.

Lead Scientists: "How the hell?.."

Dalie: "You sure that's not some malfunction or something?"

Lead Scientists: "I'll use a stethoscope to double check. Miss Vale, excuse me for a bit"

The Lead Scientist uses the stethoscope to check if her heart is still beating and... Nothing. The scientist, she hears nothing. She can't even hear Irene breathe. It's as if most of her organs stopped working. How is this possible?

Lead Scientist: "I'm not even sure if we can call this a good sign... This is beyond an avarge human beings capability. I don't know what that blood sample did to your body, but it's definitely something I've never seen before"
