Chapter 10 - Impossible

Jack grabbed his face as he runs his finger on it, he couldn't remember where he got those scars on his face.

"I have no idea why I'm roughed, but I wish that this fellow in the picture was me," Jack said and he returned Charlotte's cell phone.

"But why did you use his name, I thought he was really you?" Befuddled Charlotte said.

"Actually, I just saw that name in the daily paper, that I found in the trash. That name was in the headline, so I use it, but I don't even read what's in the articles," Jack said.

"Really?" said Charlotte as she scoffed.

She thought that it was seemingly impossible that he is Jack Armstrong, because he was already in New York. But she suddenly remembered that Jack Armstrong was missing.

"Gracious, do you know that Jack Armstrong is missing now?" She told him.

"The guy in the picture was missing?" Jack asked in surprised.

"Yeah, just recently," Charlotte nodded. "Really?" Jack said.

"I am so confused right now, you appeared before me with the name Jack Armstrong, but it's not your real name, but why you are here?" Confused Charlotte said to him. She thought she was just hallucinating, because she was an obsessed fan of Jack.

"I have no idea, I need your help!" Jack suddenly said.

"What help do you need?" Charlotte asked.

"Like I said, I'm lost, I don't know who my family or friends are, I don't remember anything,"

"You mean you have amnesia?"

"I don't know," Jack replied.

Charlotte thought again to her inner self.

"Jack Armstrong is missing, and now I've met someone who looks like him and even used his name, but he's very thin and his skin is harsh, and his clothes aren't worn by Jack Armstrong, what's going on?" Charlotte said again while thinking, she is gaping alone.

"Miss, please help me!" Jack chanted. "My name is Charlotte," she said.

"Okay, Charlotte," Jack replied.

"Can you sing?" Charlotte suddenly asked him, as she looked into his eyes.

"I don't know how to sing," he scoffed.

"Any song, please, I just want to hear,"

Jack cleared her throat and sang an old song, but it was out of tune.

Charlotte shook her head,

"Okay, fine, don't sing anymore, you're not Jack, my gosh, why do I think he is you!" Charlotte sighed who seems disgusted with herself.

She looked at Jack again and when she saw his eyes, she felt attracted, but she ignored her feelings.

And then suddenly, someone called her. "Charlotte!" A voice called out. And when she turned around, she saw it was Jayla.

"Sister Charlotte, what are you doing here?" Jayla said, they're just coming out of the coffee shop with her boyfriend Kevin. And when Charlotte saw her, only then she remembered about her.

"Oh my, Jayla! Why did you go out without telling to mom?" Charlotte said as she was upset for her.

Kevin spoke for Jayla. "I'm so sorry, I invited her for coffee so late, but I'll take her home now," he said with a smile.

Charlotte didn't promptly say a word, "You're still minor and you shouldn't go out in the middle of the night," Charlotte said, and all of a sudden, Jayla looked at Jack.

"Who is he?" she asked.

And at that point, Jack was around to tell his entire name.

"I'm Jack Arm_" before Jack finished speaking, Charlotte replied.

"His name is Jack, he's asking for help because he's missing," Charlotte said.

"Is that so, well go to the police station to be taken to where you live," Kevin said.

"Gee, I think that is a good idea!" Charlotte said.

"You will take me to the Police?" Jack furrowed.

"We will ask for help, okay?" Charlotte said then she looked at Kevin.

"Kevin, please take her home right now, I'll take care of it," said Charlotte.

"Okay," Kevin smiled.

"I love your name," Jayla said to Jack with a smile as she held Kevin's hand.

"I know right?" Charlotte sneered.

"Well, we go ahead," Kevin said.

"Make sure you go home, and Jayla, please tell mom that I go home in a couple of minutes, affirm?" Said Charlotte.

"Okay then, see you later," Jayla said and they left holding hands, Charlotte just shook her head when she saw them.

And when they left, she turned her attention again to Jack.

"So, how can I help you?"

"I want to know who I am and who my family were,"

Said Jack, Charlotte thought again, she didn't know what to do.

"I'm befuddled about you, but you are not him," said Charlotte.

"I don't know the famous singer that you are talking about, I just saw that name in that newspaper, I need to know my family!" Said Jack.

Charlotte thought again.

"I don't know how helping you, I need to think?" She said to him.

"What are you thinking, can you help me?"

"I'm confounded right now, Jack Armstrong is missing, and now I've met someone who a little bit looks like him, you even mimic his name, so, you're confusing me even more," Charlotte said.

"Perhaps, I was the famous singer you're referring to?" Said Jack as he grinned.

"I thought that at first, but he's only been missing for a couple of days, he won't lose weight like that, he has sturdy body," Charlotte replied.

"Is that so?" Jack said.

"Forget it, he is not you," Charlotte sneered, and she suddenly once more.
