Time Stops When I'm with Her. (MHA)

A peculiar teen dies after being hit by Truck-kun. As the beaming lights flash into her eyes and the immense force tore apart her body, she finds herself motionless drifting off in a seemingly endless void until one day a light shone down upon her and she woke up in the body of a child. ( I do not own My Hero Academia/MHA, or the cover photo used for the novel.)

Prologue:

The void, a place where nothing or nobody could survive, yet there is something there that genuinely shouldn't be—a motionless woman with a pale complexion—aimlessly floating around for who knows how long since she met her demise at the hands of the infamous Truck-kun.

Minutes, hours, days have passed, but the woman still has no sign of movement; it's like time has stopped for her. After an undetermined amount of time, something is finally happening in the void. A bright white light shined through the nothingness she called home for who knows how long. It shone down upon her and drew her body towards it until finally, at the epicenter, her eyes opened, and she heard a voice.

"Congratulations, Miss Izayoi, she's a healthy baby girl!" exclaimed the voice.

Confused at the scenario at hand, she looked around only to be greeted with the sight of a hospital delivery room before promptly being whisked away by a nurse to be wrapped in a towel. She tried to express her confusion at the situation through words, but all that came out was incoherent mumbling. She was wiggling around in the nurse's arms, trying to get a feel for her new body, but she was too weak, which only caused the nurse to wrap her up quicker. Only after finally being wrapped up in a soft, comfortable towel did she stop wiggling and relax, trying to absorb this sensation of comfort as best she could. After all, the void devoid her of her senses for far too long, the simple embrace of a towel was enough to make her feel at peace.

Being placed in her mother's gentle embrace only increased her comfort. Looking up and meeting her mother's gaze, she smiled. Her mother was in her mind a certified MILF, looking like a beautiful young woman appearing to be in her early twenties with back-length silver hair that features a long braid on each side with small blue bows at the ends, while the rest is let down, which ends in twin braids and red eyes. She thought she was born into the DxD verse for a second because this is the one and only Grayfia Lucifuge before remembering her mother's family name is supposedly Izayoi. Her mother's tired face had tears of joy streaming down her cheeks as she tightened the embrace, feeling all the effort of childbirth was worth it.

"Ufufufu~ she was just born, and she already has my baby girl breaking down in tears at how cute she is. I can imagine how you would react when she finally says, mama," chuckled a female voice nearby. I can only imagine she is grandma. "I-I can't help it, mom, she's just too cute! All those years in labor-" "It was only 4 hours dear" "Yes, years. It was all worth it. I-I have an adorable baby girl," my mother replied, trying her best, and failing, to hold her tears back.

Using the time during their interaction to search for any clues for what world she was reborn into, she noticed something odd that she should have seen a lot earlier. One of the nurses off to the side of the bed filling out a report looked a lot like Recovery Girl from My Hero Academia. What confirmed her suspicions towards the nurse's identity was when one of the nurses managed to cut themselves, and her lips enlarged and kissed the injury. Upon seeing that, the only logical conclusion was that she was indeed reborn into the MHA world. One thought was prevalent in her mind, 'It could have been worse. I could have been born into the Beserk world.'

She kept mulling over her predicament in her head, 'My Hero Academia, a world where over the past century, the human race has begun manifesting superhuman abilities known as "Quirks." With 80% of humankind possessing some Quirk, crime has been amplified to superhuman levels; but in turn, those who seek to use their Quirk to save lives and gain prestige can train to become an officially licensed hero. Sounds great, right?'

She mentally scoffed before continuing, 'Yeah, if you ignore the glaring problems in the world like quirk(less) discrimination and the Hero associations whole, "we strip kids of their freedom and childhood because they have a great quirk" ideal which plagued Hawks. Yeah, the MHA world is just a clusterfuck of societal problems. Then we come to the symbol of peace, All Might, a great guy (stupid as a brick when it comes to teaching), but when he's gone, society crumbles down due to their reliance on him, and Japan is plunged into chaos. What a great society it is where the collapse of a singular man can cause mass chaos.'

She took this time to look up and saw her mother and grandmother were now gushing over her quote, "adorable thinking pose," which was in all actuality her sucking her thumb. 'Maybe I can snag OFA before it gets transferred to the depressed broccoli. I mean, seriously, the only reason he got the quirk in the first place was that he was a suicidal quirkless kid who had no sense of self-preservation and ran into a villain attack, making it 10x worse for every hero on the scene. If that were the ideal candidate for one of the most powerful quirks ever, then hero society as a whole would owe me a debt of gratitude for being a more competent wielder of the quirk if I do decide to go for it. Judging by how Recovery Girl looks, I'd say I'm probably pretty close to the start of the canon timeline as she looks exactly as I remembered.'

She was brought out of her mini revelation by Recovery Girls' next question.

"Deary, have you thought of a name yet? The sooner you do, the sooner we can fill out all of this paperwork.", showing off a decent stack of papers before continuing, "Plus, you can get out of this stuffy little room quicker. I'm sure you're sick of it by now, as most people that go through labor are." She started paying much more attention to the conversation because this will be her name for this lifetime, hoping that she can pull off a smile for a name she's alright with if the need arises. Her mother started panicking and looking around for any inspiration for a name, even looking at a random nurse with a hopeful look who could only offer a wry smile in response, thinking, 'Why would I have anything to do with your child's future name?!'. She swore that she could see a literal light bulb appear above her mother's head; a thought passed through her mind, 'what if I have light manipulation? That should be a decent quirk! Or it might have just been anime logic, which is real-life logic now? I think, maybe, this is too damn confusing!'. Her mother peered down at her and, with a gentle smile, whispered the name "Sakuya, Sakuya Izayoi," getting a broad smile in response from her child, Sakuya.

(A/N Couldn't think of a different name tbh, so I'm going with this, It also explains why the mother kind of looks like Grayfia because both characters look very similar.)

She was happy with the name until she realized something, 'Sakuya Izayoi? THE Sakuya Izayoi from Touhou, the one with OP time powers?! This, combined with her mother's looks, was too much of a coincidence. This second life might not be so bad after all...' She slowly drifted off as her energy, both mentally and physically, has been well and truly exhausted today.

Creation is hard, cheer me up!

First fanfic I have written in what seems like forever. Let me know if you guys have anyone you would like for the love interest, as I'm currently torn. I might add a character from a different series completely who could be the love interest. Let me know if you have any suggestions. :)
