CHAPTER 8: I don't like you

The evidences the probes we've sent have brought us to the conclusion that X 23 Vita is the new earth"Nicolas

sums up,"i wonder what more unique abilities the planet holds"Mr Antonio says pleased.

"Maybe light crystals like the one we use to power HPLRC"Nicolas says ,"good job Mr Alexander and miss Rachel"Antonio congrats them.

"Thank you sir"Rachel and Nicolas both say in unison,Mr Antonio nods as he leaves the room excorted by some commanders.

The rest of the board members all leave the room, leaving only Nicolas and Rachel, Nicolas steps forward to kiss her but Rachel back's away.

"what?"Nicolas askes confused,"we are at work Nicolas have some decency"Rachel says heading to the door,she pauses turning around,"oh and try to be less obvious please,I don't wanna be in trouble"Rachel says walking out.

Nicolas sighs massaging his Temple's,"guess I dressed for waste"Nicolas says shaking his head,he walks out of the room heading to his lab in HPLRC.

He picks up a file from on top the table,"the photos of X23VITA"Nicolas says to himself flipping through the photos.

"whats this"Nicolas says looking closing at one of the pictures the probe took,there was a crystalline object at the side of the photograph not pronounced but visible.

"what sort of object could this be?"Nicolas says to himself,he sighs keeping the file and continuing his work,he walks out of the lab heading to the cafeteria.

AFTER WORK

It was 9pm and Nicolas had closed from work heading home,he places the documents on top of the car then pulls out his phone.

He dials Rachel's number,[ring] [ring],{hello Nicolas?},"have you gone home,that was fast?"Nicolas says with a chuckle.

{yes I had to hurry home,did you forget what Oliver did to his nanny robot,I had to get him a new one} Rachel says tiredly,"i see ,well you rest then"[ends call],Nicolas sighs getting in the car.

"good evening Rachel"Nicolas says as the car switches on,[good evening master,how was your day and do you still want to proceed on changing my name?]Rachel askes.

Nicolas sighs as he shakes his head,"yes Rachel, don't worry am gonna give you a sweet name"Nicolas says with a smirk,[okay master]Rachel says,"hmm,let me see,how aboutttt lala or Lola or Cristina or Flora which is to your liking"Nicolas askes with a smile.

[sorry master but I dislike all of them] Rachel says,[why don't you call me my original name retro 47-b8 2493] Rachel suggest,"nah it's too formal,your like my bestie or should I change it into a nickname,like rere or Big B which?"Nicolas askes.

[Don't be offended master but your terrible at naming, Rachel or retro 47- b8 2493 suits me best]Rachel says,"i have a better idea"Nicolas says,[oh brother what name have you dug up from the pits of hell again?] Rachel says helplessly.

"no,this time I want you to choose" Nicolas says with a smile,[me to choose,if you think so okay] Rachel responds pleased,"so what name do you want?"Nicolas askes,[Rachel]Rachel says.

Nicolas bangs his head on the steering wheel repeatedly,"Arghhhhh seriously Rachel,why you being difficult huh"Nicolas says irritated,[what?,you asked me to choose and I did]Rachel responds innocently.

"the whole point of me asking for you to pick a name is so you won't be called Rachel again for pits sake Rachel" Nicolas says helplessly,[just see how your calling my name so fluently and easily why stress yourself in mastering my new name,am making life simpler by sticking with my original name] Rachel explains.

"seriously Rachel,you wanna play mind games"Nicolas says with lifted brow,[yes]Rachel simply says,"lets go home first"Nicolas says,the steering wheel turns green as the car begin to move.

[so how was your day master] Rachel askes killing the topic,"it was okay,made a discovery actually"Nicolas says playing along ,[what discovery?] Rachel askes curious.

"i saw a crystalline shiny object in one of the photos of X23VITA, weird"Nicolas says,[why is it weird,do you suggest there might be life there] Rachel askes.

"i don't think so,if there is they most have great intelligence for them to escape our super intelligence zero 42 x Ray holographic beam,that beam works like an x Ray seeing things that can't be seen with the ordinary human eye,and it is very precise, could there be a more super intelligent specie that not to our knowledge,our we taking a risk going to X 23 Vita?"Nicolas says.

[maybe, maybe not master,there is a 60%chance of there not being life there,it was only one object you saw,plus how would we know if we don't attempt] Rachel explains,"true thanks Rachel.

[can I see the photograph?] Rachel askes,"sure"Nicolas says looking around the car for it while Rachel drives,"wait!!,stop the CAR!!"Nicolas says as the car comes to a halt.

FLASH BACK

It was 9pm and Nicolas had closed from work heading home,he places the documents on top of the car then pulls out his phone.

END OF FLASH BACK

"atfter the call I got in the car"Nicolas says getting out of the car to retrieve the documents,he picks it from on top,"thank heavens"Nicolas sighs in relief,he spots a person across wearing a black cloak covering his face patiently watching him.

"HEY WHO ARE YOU WATCHING ME YOU CREEP!!" Nicolas yells at the guy,the person just silently walks away,"HOLD UP AM NOT DONE!!"Nicolas yells walking towards the person,a car move by in-between and the cloaked stranger was no where to be seen,"what the hell!!"Nicolas says confused.

"great my life's officially a spy movie"Nicolas says shaking his head,"how wonderful he says walking back to his car.

he gets in as he feels a throbbing pain,a flash image of him in the car with a beam of light and then him on the floor with the cloak stranger watching him call for help on the floor in pain.

the car hand a hole on the roof top shaped perfectly,the flash memory immediately dissapears, Nicolas then falls unconscious .

[master!!,master!!are you okay?] Rachel askes as she starts the car Taking him home.

Nicolas wakes up still in the car with the ventilation faced directly at him,"thank Rachel"Nicolas says getting out of the car,not giving Rachel an explanation.

he gets in his lab infuriated,"oh great,how lovely another crappy vague memory"Nicolas says pissed as he lies on his bed,"who the hell is that creep anyway,how do I know him and what's our connection"Nicolas sighs,"lifes a Bitch"Nicolas says before falling asleep.

THE NEXT DAY

Nicolas heads to work tiredly,he gets in his lab going through some files before heading to look for Rachel,"hey lei Zhao where's Rachel?"Nicolas askes a black haired talllight skinned handsome looking Asian man,"she didn't come to work today,she took leave"lei Zhao explains.

"i see"Nicolas says heading to the Elevator,he gets out of HPLRC entering his car,"to Rachel's house please" Nicolas says wearing his seatbelt,[yes Master]Rachel says.

[would you like to tell me what Happened yesterday?] Rachel says,"no"Nicolas responds,[okay master] Rachel says.

They park outside Rachel's apartment, Nicolas heads to the front door,[knocks],"hello?"Nicolas says,[door opens],Oliver a red haired seven year old boy opens the door stareing at Nicolas straight in his eyes.

"your icy eyes are terrifying"Nicolas says truthfully,"i don't like you"Oliver says with a low and firm voice."that was honest"Nicolas says clearing his throat,"nicky?"Rachel calls out heading to the door,"what you doing here?"Rachel askes.

"i wanted to see you"Nicolas says with a smile,"aww how lovely,come in"Rachel says, Nicolas nods but pauses for a sec looking down at Oliver,"come in"Oliver says walking away.

Rachel chuckles,"he doesn't like anyone"Rachel says as Nicolas nods entering inside the house.
