Felix is just a young man trying to navigate university life with the help of his wonderful best friend, but then he meets someone who catches his interest. Of course, he tries to avoid him and everything that he's tried to runaway from for the longest time, but it seems like at the moment, he's stuck.
The living room lights cast long shadows across the floor as they all stood, taken by Bashir's statement.
"I think we should sit down," Halimat said. "My legs hurt."
The two men followed her lead and sat down on the couch a few spaces away from each other, but able to see each other's expressions clearly.
Felix leaned back on the couch, his gaze shifting between Halimat and Bashir as they shared the details of the night before.
Bashir began, "So, I was minding my own business at the party when your friend Ada cornered me." His expression was serious. "She told me her friend was in trouble and needed help. So I followed."
Felix sat up straighter, his eyes narrowing. "So you saw Jarris?" he asked.
Bashir nodded. "Yes, I did. But he was actually leaving then. Or trying to because your feisty friend wanted to jump him." He continued, "I didn't know it was you though, I just thought it was a random person."
