An unwinnable fight

Rushing outside, Raito was hit with the calming warmth of the sun... when he was hit with a realization! The sun had light! Why hadn't he though of it sooner!

'Maybe I get distracted too easily...' Raito thought, sighing at is moment of stupidity. Regardless, he stepped out onto the pavement with his sword in hand. Yuki wasn't there, however, so he decided to experiment a little bit with the higher amount of light.

Half an hour of training later, Raito had improved his control by leaps and bounds due to the amount of light available to him. He could now infuse light into his body, as he had done subconciously before, causing intense power and speed increase. He could even do so to his brain, allowing clearer and faster thinking. However, it put immense stress on his body, and infusing too much light would cause his skin to burn and his muscles to break apart. He could also force the light to bend a certain way around himself within a certain radius, giving him almost unnoticable invisibility! And using a similar principal, he made a detection technique! Since he was now extremely sensitive to the light around him, it was like having universal eyes that could see everything within a 5 meter radius!

Raito tried to gather as much light as he could into one area, and all the light within a certain radius instantly rushed towards him.. except he didn't think twice about trying to control that radius... and instantly, all the light in a hundred meter radius converged in his hand! Raito could feel the pressure of that ball, which was only about 10 centimeters in diameter, all wanting to explode outward like a bomb.

"Can I use it like a bomb?" Raito wondered.

Taking a deep breath, he held the pressurized ball in his left hand, using his right to keep it stable, and he chucked it towards the sky. Since all the light had replaced itself instantly after his consumption, nobody had noticed a thing, thinking they just blinked. But now, such a brilliant ball of light suddenly emerged in the sky.. before it exploded into millions of specks of light just like a firework, simply without the sound. Of course, pressurized light was still condensed! Albeit with no audio from the explosion itself, there was extremely loud fluttering of trees getting pushed as though there were a strong wind.

As for Raito, who was closest to the explosion... was blown off his feet instantly! Thankfully for his wellbeing, he threw it upward, so it was only a quick shock of wind, a vast amount of the energy had disappated upon the ball exploding, so he was only blown backward into the asphalt rather than sent flying.

And the young girl, who he was waiting for in the first place, stared in shock from the garage doorway.

"This is an unwinnable fight", she thought to herself, thankful she had no grudges between him. After all, who would want to fight against an overpowered swordsman, likely due to 'small advantages', who could summon bombs at will? Obviously, only one who has lost their mind would battle such a monster... and of course, she grabbed her dagger and swiftly ran towards him to help him up. 'If I can get him to train me until I could stand on equal grounds with him, or at least put up a fight, I'd be one of the best martial artists in the tournament! No, maybe the top one!' she thought. She had joined the contest halfheartedly because of the rewards, although knowing she wouldn't win, she could at least try. Now, she had a chance to make her family one of the most renowned in the country!
