Information that can be disclosed: Regarding the blank window period of Sophon_1

The author noticed some questions about the "Sophon blind spot" setup in the comment section, so I am writing a separate chapter to explain it.

Although Sophons exist in higher dimensions and, in theory, can receive all information about Earth from higher dimensions,

as an intelligent computer, the amount of information they can receive and process is limited, it's impossible to monitor everyone in the world.

This was mentioned in Chapter Five.

First of all, everyone should know that the Three-body civilization is not a "God-level Civilization," and Sophon technology definitely has its limits and flaws, not having reached the "God-level."

I mentioned in the comments that on page 260 of "The Dark Forest," Mozi said the following during the breach of Rediaz,

"You know, during that period, the number of Sophons arriving at Earth was limited, and as the head of a small Latin American country, you did not attract their attention."

This is from the version published by Chongqing Publishing House in May 2008. Other versions might not be on this page number, but they definitely contain this statement.

I believe that in Da Liu's design, Sophons also have flaws, which is consistent with the power settings for Trisolaris and Earth.

If the Trisolarans had "God-level" Sophons, they would have colonized the Milky Way long ago, rather than just focusing on the Solar System.

Retracting a step, even if Sophons were omnipotent, but the Trisolarans making use of Sophons to observe Earth are still three-dimensional beings.

Thus, the high-dimensional Sophons need to sort out the vast amounts of high-dimensional information on behalf of the Trisolarans so that they don't waste time on minor details.

This concept can be found in "Death's End," in the segment describing the Four-dimensional Fragment at the edge of the Solar System.

So even if Sophons could be "omniscient," as observers and decision-makers, the Trisolarans wouldn't be able to handle the massive amount of high-dimensional information.

The Trisolarans' use of Sophons to monitor Earth would definitely be limited to only a part of the people and events.

Otherwise, even if Sophons could eliminate some unnecessary information, the Trisolarans would need to expend a vast amount of manpower to observe the situation on Earth, which is clearly unreasonable.

This is the origin of the "Sophon monitoring blind spot." Every setting that the author adds is determined based on a thorough reading of the original work, which I consider to be quite meticulous, and I am very willing to explain things that are not easily expressed in the book.
