Was it really a dream?

"Why? Couldn't kiss your prince charming in your dream?" Blair enquired with a teasing smile.

"How do you know that?" Sofia asked in astonishment, because she was actually about to kiss the guy in her dream again.

'Well, it was more than a kiss, but she does not need to know the unnecessary details! Yeah, I am not telling her' She agreed with herself internally and decided to keep the details to herself.

"Because your lips were like this" Blair replied before moving her own lips out making a funny pouty face.

Sofia threw the pillow, on which she was previously resting her head, at her bloody best friend while shouting like cave woman,

"You b*tch! You did that on purpose!"

"Of course, I did. I entered your room and saw your duck face. So, I couldn't help but to run towards the bathroom to get the bucket of water" Blair bursts into laughter when she confessed the truth herself.

"Opportunity don't come easily, Sofie. Once you see one coming, you should get it immediately" Blair added before falling on the ground laughing hysterically.

Sofia wasn't really happy about Blair's continuous mocking.

"Such an honest person!" Sofia rolled her eyes and spoke in a very distasteful manner.

"Enough of the drama. Now, get up! We gotta practice, baby. You know, practice makes girl strong!" Blair said showing her fists cheerfully.

Sofia shook her head and adjusted the other pillow on the bed before lying down and covering her body with the wet blanket again.

"Just give me five more minutes. I will kiss him and come back" Sofia replied yawning and closed her eyes shut with a sweet smile on her enchanting face.

'Can't wait to continue where we left, my Prince Charming!' She smiled while thinking about her dream guy.

Blair's lips curved into a mischievous smile and she threw the remaining water in the bucket on her face.

"What the f*ck!" shouted Sofia in rage and gave her a look cold enough to freeze a volcano.

She was completely wet from head to toe, all thanks to her rebellious best friend. She was wide awake now.

"Wake up, sleepyhead! You can kiss your prince charming downstairs if you want!" Blair's mouth twitched into a teasing smirk when she spoke.

'Downstairs?' thought Sofia puzzled and blinked her eyes for a few times.

She stared at her best friend blankly for a couple of minutes, unable to understand what she was trying to convey.

But soon enough, she realized that Blair was talking about her engagement with Liam, her other best friend and future Alpha of her pack.

"Ew! It wasn't Liam!" Sofia replied with disgust while wiping her face roughly.

"It wasn't Liam?" Blair spoke like the lover who has been freshly cheated on.

'She definitely shouldn't know the details of my dream!' Sofia was now more than sure that she shouldn't share her dream with Blair ever again!

"Then who was it?" asked Blair with a frown but there was a hint of anger in her voice like she was deeply betrayed by Sofia.

Liam was not only Blair's closest friend after Sofia, but also Alpha of her pack, so clearly her loyalty stays with him and she couldn't possibly approve Sofia dreaming about someone else when 'he' is her fiancé.

"How am I supposed to know? It was a dream not reality, duh!" Sofia uttered nonchalantly.

'A dream I am having continuously for three years straight!' She thought closing her eyes in frustration.

'But it feels so real every freaking time! I remember jumping out of my window, changing in the middle of the forest and then watching my self into the lake but… after that I felt heavy drowsiness… I don't know if it was really a dream, the creation of my own mind… or he was real…?' she thought baffled.

She shook her head to brush the nonsense thought away.

'Oh, shut up, Sofia! Nothing like that ever happened! It was just a weird trick your brain played on you. You have definitely never met such an attractive male specimen in your life! If he was there then where did he go after that? Liam is the one who brought you back to your room that night when you fainted after looking at yourself in the lake! Stop confusing yourself with a dream. Maybe I should skip reading werewolf romance novels!' She chuckled internally at her own wild thoughts.

She was still contemplating her thoughts while getting up from the bed but Blair pushed her to sit on the bed again and sat next to her instantly.

Blair was observing her for a while now when Sofia was gathering her own thoughts. Blair had a lot of questions, she wanted to shoot her with.

"You are dreaming about kissing other guys? Are you out of your freaking mind? You are going to be Luna of Silver Moon soon!" Blair bombarded her with countless of question but in barely a whisper, so that nobody could hear their conversation.

Everyone who knows Silver Moon pack personally, knew that current Alpha and Luna of the pack has decided to marry their only son, the future Alpha Liam Brown with their Beta's daughter, Sofia Dawson. Sofia has been taking training to become Luna from the moment she changed into her wolf three years ago.

"If we don't find our mates!" Sofia corrected in an indifferent tone.

"What do you mean?" Blair asked, her eyes widened in surprise.

None of her best friends informed her about this scenario.

"Liam and I came to an agreement that if one of us found our mate before I turn 18 and this marking thing won't happen then we will give our soulmate a chance. Otherwise, after I turn 18 years old, he will mark me and I have to help him rule this pack" Sofia informed her in a small voice knowing if anyone from the pack heard their conversation, they will be dead meat for sure.

"And Liam really agreed to this?" Blair investigated. Her voice lower than a whisper but she didn't forget to raise her eyebrow in suspicion.

"Of course, he did. He is my best friend before he is Alpha of our pack. I know he thinks the same way" Sofia replied confidently.

"I beg to differ. I think the guy is so into you that he couldn't deny. He must be in love with you to sympathize with such pathetic demand!" Blair exclaimed in an incredulous tone.

"Attracted to me, Blair! We both are still young and hormones plays rugby with us" Sofia corrected and chuckled at her own silly joke.

"Be serious for a minute, will you?" Blair gritted her teeth angrily and hit her arm.

"Ouch!" Sofia cried before rubbing her hand.

"I think he is dreaming of marrying you since he was 16, now he is 19. It is not easy to wait for someone who is not even your mate for three whole years, Sofie, I hope you know that!" Blair uttered, and her tone was a bit too serious for someone who makes fun of everyone 24 hours a day for seven days a week.

"I do know that and I also know that it is not him who was dreaming of us getting married. It was our parents. They wanted us to be mates since we were kids. I still remember how disappointed they were when they found out that we are not each other's mates after we changed!" said Sofia and she couldn't help but let out a small chuckle when their disheartened faces flashed in her memory.

"I also remember that. It was like their dream to see you two together" Blair added with a small laugh.

Sofia was about to say something but suddenly her phone started ringing. Blair peeked at her screen and saw a familiar caller ID, which instantly made her smile creepily like a pervert.

"Ooo, your Romeo is missing you already!" Blair said and the corner of her mouth twitched into a teasing smirk.

"Oh, come on!" Sofia replied with an eye roll and received the call immediately.

"Hello" Sofia said causally.

"Hey, why you are not here yet?" came Liam's worried voice from the other side of the phone.

"That.. I.. I just woke up. Need fifteen minutes to get ready." Sofia felt embarrassed for always waking up late but Liam didn't seem to mind it at all.

"Okay, we will start training in twenty minutes then. Take your time" He replied politely and Sofia couldn't figure out why she is not in love with him already.

"Thanks" Sofia's smile widened after listening to his sweet reply.

"No problem, sweets. See you soon. Love you" Liam said like an actual sweetheart.

"Alright, bye" replied Sofia casually before disconnecting the call.

The moment she raised her head from her phone, she saw Blair standing in front of her with hands folded on her chest and judgy look on her cute little face.

'I smell trouble!'

"You didn't answer!" She uttered in disbelief.

"Huh? Oh? Oh." Replied Sofia in a small voice when she realized she didn't reply to Liam's 'Love you'

"Looks like we are stuck in a huge mess" Blair took a deep sigh before passing her hand through her hair.

"What am I supposed to do, Blair? I love him a lot but I am not in love with him. I am not into him romantically. I already confessed that to him!" Sofia replied helplessly.

She confessed everything because she didn't want to play with his feelings. She was unable to! She cared about him a lot do such a hideous thing.

"And what was his reply?" Blair enquired in utter curiosity.

"That he will wait until I fall for him" Sofia replied in an apprehensive tone.

She felt her heart palpitating that she couldn't reciprocate the feelings of her best friend.

Blair noticed Sofia's distressed state and her heart pounding against her chest.

Being a werewolf comes with its own set of advantages. 'The heightened ability to hear and see things are one the best of them.'

Blair kept her hand on Sofia's shoulders to calm her racing heart.

"Don't worry, Liam is a sweetheart. You will soon fall for him" Blair said with a reassuring smile.

"Hmm" was the one reply Sofia could give her at the moment.

"Alright. Go get ready. We need to end practice soon today" Blair informed her, while moving towards the door.

At that moment, Sofia was moving to get out of the bed lazily but stopped abruptly hearing her latter statement.

"What? Practice ending soon? On a weekend? In our pack? How? Why? Did the sun rise from west today?" Sofia bombarded her with series of questions excitedly because no matter what happens in the world, training session never gets cancelled or end soon in their pack.

Not doing nerve wrecking practice for an entire day brightened up her mood instantly.

"Because we are going to a party this evening" Blair enlightened her with the prime news of the day with a mischievous smile knowing how much Sofia hates parties.

"NOT ANOTHER PARTY!" shouted Sofia in annoyance.

Blair noticed the frustration taking over Sofia's beautiful face, hence she decided to inform her about the importance of the event.

"You can't say no, Sofie. It's for the peace keeping after all. But when you will get to know the name of the organizers, you will find this party even more interesting" Blair informed with a sly smile.

"Why is that vixen? Who are the organizers? Prey tell!" Sofia enquired and lightly knitted her eyebrows together.

After looking at Sofia's puzzled expressions, Blair knew it was the right time to deliver the emerging gossip.

"The Smiths. The leaders of the Blood Diamond!" Blair exclaimed in her signature gossipmonger tone.

"WHAT?"
