Esmeralda seems to be out of her mind walking down the hallway of the hospital. Earlier, she could not bear to stare at her son as he lay in the hospital bed.
As a mother, it breaks her heart to see the pathetic condition of her beloved Gio. If only she could take over the child's condition.
It hurts so much to see your child's delicate body in such a state, it’s like your heart is being torn apart.
Esmeralda is unaware that her tears are dripping, and everyone she meets in the hallway of the hospital looks at her with pity.
Esmeralda stopped in front of the hospital's chapel and stepped in with tears flowing.
She misses a cheerful Gio who enters their bedroom every morning and wakes her up with kisses keeps haunting her memory over and over again.
Esmeralda spontaneously knelt as she approached the altar of the chapel and looked up at the hanging crucifix with the image of Jesus Christ.
"Lord, save my child, I beg you, we love Gio so much, pls save my baby Gio..as a mother I cannot bear to see my child on that condition .. have mercy on my child Lord ... I hope Gio wakes up..I'm begging..I feel sorry for him..I can't afford to lose my son..Lord I will do everything, I will dedicate his whole life to serve just let himcan survive. Im begging you..even if you just take me in exchange for my child..Emeralda whispered without stopping the flow of tears from her eyes.
Esmeralda stayed for a long time in that position on her knees crying, she would not have stood up if it had not been for the pain felt on one of her knees because of something she did not notice because of her continuous crying.

Inside the Pediatric ICU:
Nicolas stared blankly at the Rolex watch on his arm, it was nine o'clock in the evening but his wife hadn't returned yet.
It's been two hours since he woke up but his wife hasn't come back yet, she whispered worriedly to herself while sitting on the sofa.
"Nanny Celia!" Call to the nanny of Gio
Nanny Celia immediately approached the chairman.
"I'll look for my wife at the chapel first, Please stay here with uncle Vener " He said worriedly.
"All right” She responded with concern.
"Or only Vener and I could go after her?" Suggested nanny Celia
"Its alright nanny" we'll be right back, please just keep an eye on Gio, if anything happens, just press that button directly at the nurse station and Gio's doctor" He explained to the child's nanny.
"I'll take care of it son, Go and look for your wife. Esmeralda's body is still a bit weak" replied Nanny Celia.
Nicolas left the pediatric ICU room and walked down the hall towards the hospital chapel.
He felt sorry for what he saw; his wife was lying on a long wooden chair bent over. He no longer knew what to do with his wife. He knows that she loves our son very much.
He approached the chair where it was lying and sat on the side of its head .. Nicolas was overwhelmed when he saw the grains of tears that were already on his wife's cheek, His heart was broken by the sight.
He gently wiped the remaining tears on his wife's cheek with his palm full of love and concern.
Esmeralda felt someone caressing her cheek, she slowly opened her eyes and she saw the image of her husband and the concern on his eyes.
"H..hon?" She said softly in a hoarse voice.
"Come on, let's go back to Gio, you haven't eaten dinner yet"
Nicolas helped his wife to get up and sit, but Esmeralda did not stand up immediately.
"Hon, I cannot live without Gio.. please do something to your son" And she hugged her husband.
Nicolas made a long sigh .. "Gio will be fine, he will survive and he will wake up soon" he comforted his wife while hugging and stroking his back to ease his wife's mood.
Esmeralda nodded, and they stood up. Nicolas helped the wife get out of the chapel back to the ICU.
While walking, Esmeralda noticed the necklace she saw inside the chapel that she held until she fell asleep in the chair, she put it in the pocket of her pants and held it to her husband's waist and continued walking.
They are close to the child's room. They notice the nurses run in a hurry. Along with the neuro surgeon assigned to his son, they pass them and enter the child's room.
The couple looked at each other with concern in their eyes.
"Hon maybe something happened to Gio” Esmeralda’s voice growled with anxious feeling
Instead of answering his wife, they accelerated their walk, they were close to the door of the room when they saw uncle Vener and nany Celia crying.
"Ma'am, Chairman", she cried as she said this to the couple once get close.
"Why? what happened to Gio nanny? Esmeralda asked quite hysterical.
"Suddenly Gio woke up and his whole body was shaking so I immediately pressed the button on the nurse station and his doctor" she cried as she explained.
"G..Gio," She said hysterically and the couple was about to enter the room when the nurse blocked them.
"Ma'am, sir I am sorry but you are not allowed to enter, the doctor is already attending your son, just wait for a moment" The male nurse sounded apologetic
The couple did nothing but wait outside the ICU.
"Hon, Gio" Esmeralda cried while hugging her husband ..
"Hush..he will be fine," And hugged his wife tightly, worrying that she would collapse again.
After a while the nuero-surgeon came out.
"Doc what happen to my son?" Nicolas immediately approached the neuro-surgeon .
"Your son has having some convulsion, it's a sudden, violent, irregular movement of a limb caused by involuntary contraction of muscles associated with brain trauma he experienced."
"What do you mean doc? Nicolas asked the doctor. He couldn't understand what he was saying, he was too pre-occupied by the incident, it seems like he can't handle what will happen to his son.
"It's a good sign chairman. I don't want to give precise prognosis but if he wakes up tom or the day after tomorrow your son will surely survive." Let us hope for the best chairman Ricablanca "
"Is there anything you can do or precise prognosis to the condition of my son?" At the same time, he glanced at the lying child.
The doctor sighed.
"Let's just wait for your son to wake up, that's the time I will give a precise and conclusive prognosis chairman" he said sympathetically.
"That's for now chairman, and if you'll excuse us. And the attending surgeon finally left of the room.
Esmeralda burst into tears as she hugged her husband when she heard what the doctor had said.
Nicolas hugged his wife tightly. He was heartbroken, he would take his son to another country for treatment.
That night, he called the company pilot to prepare the private plane owned by the Ricablancas, as well as his connections abroad to expedite their travel documents.
"Baby, pls fight for mom and Dad..pls wake up my baby..Esmeralda's soft words while sobbing as she was holding the child's hand. Even though she doesn't want to cry anymore, tears automatically fall in her eyes when she sees the situation of her son Gio.
Nicolas sighed heavily when he saw his wife lying on their child's bed holding Gio’s hand.
After he fixed the blanket, he lay down on the big sofa, she didn't want the big bed for them because he wasn't used to not having his wife next to her. He sent nanny Celia and uncle Vener home to prepare what they will use on the flight the next day.
