At the moment, Carly was also in a bit of disguise, at least on the surface, so her obvious half-fairy features wouldn't be easily spotted under the simple transformative witchcraft.
Lucien's caution was to avoid any unnecessary trouble.
After all, a live half-fairy, or even the body of one, was quite valuable, not to mention that the purity of the Bloodline implanted in Carly was of the higher-ranking Moonblood, which was worth much more than those half-fairies active on Kosai Island.
