FORGING A BOND

For a moment, Derek was silent,"Is this a confession? or?" Derek said, his gaze searching Noelle's face for any hint of insincerity. But then he saw the raw honesty in her eyes, he felt his heart swell with emotion.

Derek sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I don't know, Noelle. I feel like I'm stuck between two worlds—my friendship with Adam and Sarah, and whatever this is between us."

Noelle's expression softened, and she squeezed his arm reassuringly. "You don't have to choose, Derek. Friendship isn't a zero-sum game. There's enough room in your heart for all of us."

And suddenly as if heaven sending their blessings, it started to rain. They ran and sat under a big Pipal tree. Derek looked at Noelle and then at the scenario happening and again back at Noelle who was enjoying watching the rain drops.

"Noelle," he called. When she turned towards him, he placed his hands on her cheeks and leaned in to kiss her. And that the moment, Noelle knew she was right when she gathered all her courage and confessed.
