"Okay. Please, c-come get m-me." I hiccuped. He agreed before saying an I love you followed by Calla yelling it in the background and hanging up.
I didn't have to wait long for them to show up by a cab. Tanner opened my car door for me and leaned in, giving my forehead and lips a quick kiss before helping me out. I wiped my tears before Calla could see them and think something was wrong. She came up and patted my stomach to get my attention before making grabby hands at me.
"I wanna kiss too, mommy," She said sweetly. I smiled and leaned down, placing a chaste kiss to her lips and forehead, just like Tanner had done to me, before buckling her into the seatbelt in the back and getting into the passenger side.
