"Your intentions seem sincere," the dragon rumbled. "I have watched you for a while, struggling with your powers. Perhaps there is a way I can help."

Lucian could not believe his ears. A dragon, the most powerful and Majestic creature in the Enchanted Forest, offering to help him with his magic? It seemed too good to be true.

"What do you require of me in return?" Lucian asked cautiously. Brenton knowingly gazed at him and said. "I seek a companion, a friend who will help me in safeguarding the forest. In return, I shall teach you the secrets of magic that lies within you."

Lucian's heart swelled with a mixture of fear and excitement. It was a dangerous proposition, but he felt some level of connection with this ancient being.

He nodded resolutely. "I accept your offer, Brenton. I will be your companion and protector of the Enchanted Forest."
