The Wu Clan's Rise: Legends of the twin dragons

*ALERT: This Book Is Currently Undergoing Major Editing And Will Be Rewritten. Do Not Buy Chapters* The Immortal Domain is a vast cosmos consisting of the Upper Realm and the Lower Realms, both of which are controlled by the Three Great Families, the Wang family, the Lui family, and the Xue family. Each one of them holds an immense amount of power that could overturn the heavens, reverse yin and yang and change the fate of anyone or anything in the Immortal Domain as they see fit. But, with all of that being said, our story doesn't start from those ancient overpowered families in the Upper Realm, it starts from one of the countless fragmented Lower Realms, called the Wither Daemon Realm, in which there was a planet named Daiyu. On this planet, heavenly prodigies that were born with one of the thirty, rare Legendary Physiques were starting to pop up like common weeds. Longwei, born into the Wu Clan while in possession of the third rank Legendary Physique, was known as one of the six monster-level geniuses on planet Daiyu. His brother Longmin on the other hand, though was a genius in his own right, had faded into obscurity since his birth and was shunned by his own father after a certain ‘incident’. This story is the supposed legends of two dragons, who, through a journey of bloodshed and betrayal led their clan to unify the Immortal Domain and stand above trillions as the highest existence. ******* If you lovely readers can't be bothered to use your eyes, you can join my Patreon and get to stream my audio chapters like everyone else. Chapter 23- God-like Power On Display

A dust storm was kicked up in the area, but the other black robe figure was standing in front of Longmin and Longwei protecting them.

After everything settled down Longmin and Longwei looked at the demonic beast with slight awe.

The bird was so huge it was almost ridiculous. Just one of its eyes alone was enough to take up a person's entire vision much less its massive head and body.

Standing upright, it easily reached around five hundred meters in height.

"It's actually a Sparrow that has the bloodline of the Divine Sparrow race," said Longmin.

Even though he was in the Wu Clan all the time, he didn't actually pay attention to the other divisions, his main focus was on runes and formations. But that didn't mean he was clueless about the other divisions.

Like alchemy, he read a lot of books about beast taming and he knew that taming a demonic beast with a bloodline was very rare.

Demonic beasts with bloodlines were only located on the Demonic Beast Continent, which was locked off to human cultivators.

Their Soul Power was a lot stronger than regular demonic beasts, and they were smarter as well making them harder to tame.

Some of them would even choose to die than be controlled by someone.

A beast tamer's Soul Power would have to be multiple times stronger than theirs in order to tame them.

Soul Power is like a measurement of how strong a person's or a demonic beast's soul is.

The larger a person's soul is, the stronger their Soul Power would be.

Soul Power would increase at each breakthrough of a major realm, but unlike how a human's soul develops Spiritual Strength and Spiritual Sense at the Foundation realm and Core Formation realm, demonic beasts' don't. Only when they reach rank 4 does their soul change and then they develop Divine Sense.

The ranks of beast tamers were determined by the ranks of the demonic beast they control. For example, a disciple who was able to tame a rank 1 demonic beast would be considered a rank 1 beast tamer.

You could say Soul Power was directly connected to the level of a beast tamer's Spiritual Qi cultivation base. To explain, a disciple in the Qi Gathering realm would only be able to control one or two rank 1 demonic beasts. In the Foundation building realm, they would only be able to control several rank 2 demonic beasts.

After breaking through into the Core Formation realm their soul would undergo a fundamental change, and their Spiritual Strength would transform into Spiritual Sense.

Comparing a Foundation realm cultivator's Spiritual Strength to a Core Formation realm cultivator's Spiritual Sense, was like comparing a firefly to the moon.

A Core Formation beast tamer with their Spiritual Sense would be able to tame over a dozen demonic beasts with similar a cultivation as theirs. Making the statement, beast tamers are a one-man army, very accurate.

However, there are some exceptions.

With soul cultivation techniques, a person could slowly cultivate their soul and increase their Soul Power.

Longmin's method is somewhat similar to this, with the use of runes, a beast tamer in the Qi Gathering Realm, who was only able to develop Spiritual Strength on the cusp of a breakthrough, would be able to develop it far earlier. With that, a Qi Gathering beast tamer would be able to battle using rank 2 demonic beasts.

Another method was using medicinal pills, made specifically by alchemy masters for increasing Soul Power.

There were also rare treasures of heaven and earth similar to the Heavenly Pallet.

If a beast tamer in the Foundation realm were to eat something like that, they would be able to transform their Spiritual Strength into Spiritual Sense and be able to control rank 3 demonic beasts. That beast tamer would become practically invincible within the Foundation realm.

However, rare treasures like those were that, rare. Even the Wu Clan would have a limited amount of such treasures.

"Young masters, a Sparrow is known for their flying speed and long duration in the air. With my own that has a bit of the Divine Sparrow's race bloodline, we'll be able to reach our destination a lot quicker."

Longmin and Longwei both got on this giant bird and sat down in a cross-legged position, slightly below the base of its neck. The two bodyguards sat directly behind them.

With the sound of a swoosh, the Sparrow flapped its massive wings and shot off to the northeastern section of the pocket Realm.

That one flap actually brought it two kilometers away, its speed was absolutely terrifying.

Longmin and Longwei were only able to still be on top of the Sparrow due to their bodyguards' late-stage Core Formation Spiritual Sense surrounding them and acting like a dome. If that wasn't the case the wind would've swept them off.

While Longmin was observing the scenery far off in the distance, he felt a nudge on his shoulder.

He turned and looked at Longwei, to see him pointing in the direction behind them.

Not really thinking about it much, Longmin slowly turned his head to see what was up.

As soon as he saw the scene behind him he was flabbergasted.

'What the heck is that?!' Longmin scream in his head.

What Longwei was pointing at was where the Pocket Realm entrance was.

Below the entrance was a huge mountain that a circular peak, which they were standing on. Looking from a distance, it looked like the mountain peak was completely severed by some sharp object.

Just the sheer size and width of the mountain made its unusually smooth flat top shocking to look at.

However, that wasn't actually what had shocked Longmin. What shocked him was the hundreds or even thousands of other mountains behind it that had the same circular top.

The mountain top they were standing on when they left the Pocket Realm's entrance was like a spearhead.

As the distance got further and further away from that mountain, you could see more and more severed mountain tops that spread out to fill the entire horizon.

One could see the contrast of the severed mountain peaks and normal mountains, which made the scene look all the more surreal.

Looking at the mutilated mountains' smooth circular peaks, and doing a few calculations in his head, Longmin came to an absolutely mind-blowing conclusion.

He realized that if someone were to stand in front of the mountain they were previously on, and used a sword to slash out, the angle and trajectory would correspond to the same mountain peaks that had their top severed.

The power of the slash would have started at a single point, then as it got further and further away from its point of origin, it would start to spread out and hit the exact same mountains peaks behind it.

When Longmin came to such a conclusion his heart let out a loud thump.

Being from a clan like the Wu Clan, of course he read about the higher realms of cultivation and knew about the feats they were capable of, but reading about them in books and witnessing them with his own eyes was completely different.

When he was reading those books, his perception of cultivation was small so he couldn't have imagined such heaven toppling and earth-shaking things occurring.

Longmin tried to calm his racing heart, but he had never seen anything like this before. The stimulation made it difficult to stop his heart from pounding so violently.

Longwei's voice suddenly sounded next to him.

"Will I be able to do something similar with my sword in the future? How strong would I be then?"

Longmin turned to look at his brother, only to see him in deep thought.

He wasn't surprised that his brother was able to come to the same conclusion as him. His intelligence and insight in the way of the sword was far above his own, and he couldn't compete with him in that field even if he wanted to.

"Little brother, from the starting point of the slash, don't you realize something?" Longwei's voice sounded again.

Hearing that, Longmin turned back to look at the mountain that had the Pocket Realm's entrance above it and contemplated for a while.

Suddenly his eyes light up in understanding.

Then he said, "Based on the angle of the slash, the person would've had to be floating in mid-air."

Longwei nodded his head.

"That's right. If that person was able to fly in the sky and carry out an attack of that scale, he or she would have had to be in the Sage realm or above."

'Swoosh!!'

The Sparrow flapped its massive wings and carried them further away.

The mountain and the devastating scenery were now obscured by the normal-looking mountains, with only the Pocket Realm's entrance slightly visible over the horizon.

The two guards glanced at each other for a moment.

They were impressed and slightly shocked, to say the least.

As Core Formation experts in their late twenties, and being a member of the Wu Clan, they were able to visit the two other Pocket Realm's in the previous years they opened. One was three years ago and the other was ten.

Even though this was their first time entering this Pocket Realm because of the fifty-year time period for it to open, they had still known what to expect due to their experiences with the other Pocket Realms.

Their first reaction when they saw attacks that could change the landscape like this was to feel awe and respect. An entity able to bring about such destruction was like a god to them.

They weren't thinking about becoming powerful enough to replicate such things, a matter of fact they didn't think they could become that powerful at all.

Them and most others would just think of power like this, as something too far beyond their reach.

But not these two. Aside from being shock at first when they saw what a high-level expert could do, they quickly got over it and then began a detailed conversation about it, and were even thinking about replicating it.

Most adults wouldn't have the mental capacity to handle seeing such a scene. Not only would they feel awe and respect for such power, they then go on to feel inadequate, thinking to themselves that they might never reach such heights in their cultivation.

People like that might eventually start questioning themselves and wonder what was the point of cultivating. They'll lose their confidence and drive to cultivate.

In other words, they might develop a heart devil. Something no cultivator would ever wish to encounter on their path of cultivation.

But despite their two young masters being young, they were already showing their strong mental fortitude, based on how they were thinking.

They didn't have any doubt that they were young dragons, who would eventually lead the Wu Clan to rise further in the future.
