Chapter 5 (Placement in the company)

When I got my schedule, my first work place was in the production team. Yuze too was in my team. I asked Sile about his workplace. He said that he was allotted in the procurement team and Sicong was in the financial team. Meijuan and Tina were also in financial team and Peiling was in production team.

After getting our schedules, Miss Wei said, " Everybody sit down. I have something else to talk about." Everyone sat down quietly and waited for Miss Wei to continue her speech. Miss Wei said," Now all of you got your schedules. From tomorrow onwards, when you enter the company, go immediately to your respective workplaces. The head of those departments will take your attendance. You will work for about a month before you are shifted to the next department. You will get your id card according to your performance. If your performance is poor, you will have 3 chances to mend them but if your chances are gone, you will be removed permanently from the company. I hope you all take this intership seriously. Thank you."

Miss Wei's speech shocked everyone as they had to be fully perfect in their work. Yuze came towards me and asked," Where do you live? "

I said," I leave in an apartment near the company. It's almost a ten minute walk from the company to my place. "

Yuze said," Oh, I thought to have some company while coming to the company as we are both in the same department. My home in a few blocks away from yours."

I replied, " Ok, let's come together. I will tell the plans tonight." Sile came and sighed on my shoulders, " At least you both got company while me, I have to be alone. I don't even have someone to keep me company." We all laughed at Sile complaining. Soon it was evening. Each of us headed back to our own homes. After I reached home, I bid farewell to Yuze and went up to my room. I feeling very tired and hungry from the first day. I went to kitchen, opened the fridge only to find out that I have nothing left except a tomato. I sighed for sometime, checked the time.

It was 6 o'clock in the evening. As it was not yet dark, I went out to buy some vegetables. I bought some potatoes, onions, chicken etc. On the way, there was a small shop which would provide all 3 meals. It was maybe small but many people like going there as the food was so delicious that no one can resist it. I went in to have my dinner as I was very lazy and wouldn't be able to prepare for myself dinner.

I went and sat down waiting for someone to take my order. A young boy of age maybe 15-16years came and asked for my order. I saw the list of food items they got and chose fried rice omelet with some corn soup. He took my order and told me to wait for sometime. I smiled at him and waited.

As I was waiting, Yuze came and sat in front of me. I asked him," Hey, I thought you had already went home. Do you also come here often to have your food?" Yuze said, " Yeah here the food is really delicious so I like to come here to have my dinner. Here the breakfast too is really nice. I already tried it a few times. They even give food at a lower price."

The boy came back and asked Yuze to order. Yuze said, " The same." The boy noted it down and asked him to wait.

I said, " Ah, you are a regular customer here. You didn't even have to look at the menu."

Yuze replied, "Yeah." The boy soon returned with our dishes. The dishes looked really nice.

I really wanted to eat as fast as possible. I looked at Yuze's dish. It was pork rice with mushroom soup. It also looked so nice. We had our dinner quietly as we both were hungry. We finished it within 10 minutes. We called the boy to bring some drink. I ordered for strawberry juice while Yuze ordered for chocolate juice. Yuze asked me," Ah so your favorite is strawberry juice." He then pinched my cheek and said, " No wonder your skin is soft like a baby's butt."

I pushed away his hand while saying," Stop pulling my cheeks. They will get swollen. Let's head home while drinking on the way. We can't be late on our first working day."

Yuze agreed and so we headed back home while drinking our smoothies. I said goodbye to Yuze and headed up to my room.

As I about to open the door of my room Bai Fu came out of his room. He was wearing a white shirt with black shorts and slippers. I bowed and greeted to him. He told me to get up. I wasn't able to look at him in the eyes and I had never expected that the person living next to me would be my CEO. Bai Fu looked at me and said," You can drop the formalities since we are not in the office."

I replied ,"Ok." But I was still unable to look at him straight. I again bowed down and wished him goodnight and quickly rushed to my room. My heart was beating so fast. I thought, " Why am I very scared of my CEO?"

After calming down, I kept my bag and smoothie on the table and removed my coat and unbuttoned my shirt. I was half way unbuttoning, someone rang the bell.
