Bella was astounded by what she just heard, she pinched her thighs to be sure she was not dreaming. She really wanted to scream, she knew she wouldn't find a job that pays such amount ever again. The offer was quite tempting and she knew it was a once in a lifetime opportunity, but then again, she was not sure she could handle the conditions attached to it.
She would love to get advice from someone especially her friends but she had sworn to keep it a secret. "Can you give me some time tonight to sleep over it?" She asked hopefully. "There's nothing to think about Briebella, I'm I right?" Said Lilo and she got a knod from Bella.
"I have to leave the country today, for an important conference, while i have a family meeting to attend to concerning the preparations of my wedding, that's why I need a replacement immediately!" Lilo said. "Okay can I get at least an hour to think about this, I just need to get some fresh air and clear my head!" Said Bella.
"If you'd agree to it, meet me at 'Alveron' by seven this evening. I'll have my assistant send a package, wear whatever you find in that package, and don't be late!" Lilo's words sounded like an order. "Now leave my office we're done here!" She added as she picked up some files and started working.
"Thanks!" Was the only thing Bella said as she walked out of the office.
She needed some fresh air after such tensed meeting. "Bad wasn't it?" Tina's voice came from behind, "not really!" Bella said with a smile. They both walked into the elevator "So, did you get the job?" Tina asked calmly "I did!" Was the short reply Bella gave.
Okay Tina knew something was definitely wrong somewhere, "If you got the job why are you acting wierd?" Tina asked "Wierd? No I just need some time alone that's all. Don't worry I'll go back to the apartment once I'm done!" Bella gave a reassuring smile.
Tina understood her friend doesn't want to talk about it, so she nodded "Don't go too far, so you don't get lost. Remember today's your first day here. Avoid going to large or small gatherings!" Tina said worriedly "Yes Mum!" They both laughed as they parted ways.
Bella inhaled deeply the refreshing air of the city as she walked on the streets, back at home she is known as the farmers daughter. She's always dreamt of changing her family, giving her parent a better life since she was a kid.
Now she has the opportunity to, she just couldn't trust herself anymore, right now, she longed for her mum's comforting words. She missed home so much, and she regretted never telling her parents of her moving out. But she knew in life, there are certain things one have to let go in order to achieve a goal. She could only hope they would be fine without a means of communicating with her.
She walked into the cities garden, which was not far from 'Beautell', it was a very beautiful big garden, filled with various flowers. She saw many children laughing and playing in the garden. They were genuinely happy, and didn't have to a worry in the world.
Most Elderly people were also there sitting and having the best time of their life. Just right infront of her a man proposed to his girlfriend, and everyone gathered around to cheer for them. It was a beautiful sight to behold, the lady accepted his proposal and they kissed making everyone clap. The little children around covered their faces, most people were taking pictures. Bella smiled, excitedly at the scene as she walked to a more quiet part of the garden.
"Aunty, I picked this flower for you!" A little girl in a blue dress said giving her an iris flower, she was so cute. "Thank you!" Bella collected the flowers but before she could ask the girl of her name, the little girl ran away. Bella chuckled inwardly as she watched the girl go.
Somehow this reminded her of her little nieces and nephews. *Sigh* she sat on an old wooden bench, listening to the chirping sounds of birds, the noises of children playing, the scent of fresh plants and the cool breeze which was soothing to the skin.
She felt refreshed and alive again. Her head was finally cleared, she could now think about her deal with Lilo and she finally got her answer.
