Ian suddenly interrupted and asked her "what did you mean by saying i will soon lose my memories?" Isabelle tried her best to wave the question away and but he kept on pestering her and she finally answered "we'll have a vampire compel you to forget everything and you can continue to live your normal life as a student". "Why" he asked. "mundanes aren't meant to know anything about us beacause one leads to two then two leads to four and four leads to eight. before you know it every human in the world knows about us. It is a secret we are all meant to keep no matter how close a mundane is to any of us. They were both stopped by a figure who was also a shadowhunter. The shadowhunter named isaac asked "isabelle where have you been?" in a neither warm nor cold tone" isabelle replied in the same manner "just checking on our mundane friend here". Isaac then said "it is time". Ian turned to face isabelle but she looked away and didn't look at him. Next, another person instantly appeared among them. "His name is Raphael and he is a vampire" Isaac said. "This will all be through soon, no pain in it". Then Raphael moved towards Ian, looked into his eye and said "YOU WILL FORGET EVERYTHING YOU'VE SEEN AND HEARD ABOUT US AND MOVE ON". Raphael then took him out of the place speedily and then Ian found himself alone on the street that led to his university.
