The world is about to end? So what?

- Why do you think that i care? -- Kerren answered while looking at her. - You're supposed to! This world is your home... -- she could barely talk at this point. /// PLEASE READ MY REVIEW TO THIS NOVEL! /// - Oh? My home? Well... That's too bad then, my home is going to be destroyed... -- he pretended to think for a while -- Right! -- he exclaimed -- I'm just going to find a new one! Why bother saving one that is filled with cockroaches and wasps? -- his gaze fixed on her face, as if he was pointing at her. - You dont understand!.. You cant leave this world... We're locked here... -- she revealed, it didn't surprise Kerren at all. - Uh... Stop thinking too highly of yourself, it's you who cant leave it -- he countered her reveal with his own -- Also, why dont YOU sacrifice yourself for the sake of your home? -- he asked back. - I'm not strong enough, the barrier wont work for long!.. -- she tried to find a reason behind her hypocricity. - Well, you'll have to choose between that and looking at your planet being absorbed by that tower -- he looked at the giant pillar in the sky. -- Wait, i think i forgot to tell you something... -- he looked back at her -- I was the one who summoned it here... -- he smiled happily.

The Room; Crawling;

Kerren immediately appeared in a strange room that looked like a dungeon from the middle ages. It looked like it would collapse at any moment.

Before he had time to look around he heard a voice coming from somewhere.

- What took you so long?

It was, of course, Yusaya, she was covered in spiderwebs and dust for some reason, seeing it Kerren immeditely said...

- Damn, i think you look better that way.

He starting laughing right after ending that sentence, it wasn't even funny but Kerren didn't care.

- Well, you dont look that much better, you know?

In response to his words she smiled and told him that he was the same!

Was he covered in something as well? That couldn't be, he could feel every part of his body clearly, and there wasn't anything on him...

He started touching the top of his head and shoulders to see what exaclty it was, maybe it'll stick to his hands?

However, as soon as he did that he heard a laughter...

- Hahahaha! I gotcha! Now you know that you're not my opponent in those things!

She couldn't stop laughing, as if Kerren checking if he's dirty or not was the funniest thing in the world.

He didn't react to it, even his face didn't show any emotion. He was stupefied by that joke or whatever it was.

After a few seconds of listening to her laugh Kerren decided to look around.

He didn't see much, the room was completely empty and didn't have any corridors or even doors leading to it. It was as if thise whole room just... was.

That didn't bother him since Yusaya wouldn't just trap both of them, right?... Right?

- Do you know how to get out of here?

He couldn't help but ask after he got a good look around.

- Nope, that's the fun part. We gotta solve the puzzle to get the clue to this dungeon.

She said while wiping her tears she got from laughing so much.

- Do you have any food?

Kerren asked again, pretending that he needed it.

- Just a bit -- she made a gesture indicating her words while saying it -- Dont worry tho, we'll get our sooner than you'll get hungry -- she said with a happy voice.

- I hope so. Got any clues yet? -- wow, 3 whole question in a row!

- Not really, i guess we'll have to find a special brick? Or a web that'll help us? Just look around and tell me if you find anything suspicious.

She then started doing the same exact thing she told Kerren to do.

He didn't react to what she said as he was contemplating his choice of following her. He couldn't even see the entrance to this place!

That'll mean that he wouldn't be able to see anything here either! What does she mean tell me if you find anything!?

Everything here is basically the same for him! Even aura that those things emmit is...

-* Wait... Why is it the same? It... Shouldn't be like that, should it?

He got a random clue! All those things here felt the same! As if it was just one thing, but... it wasn't!

That could only happen if this whole place was an artefact or an artificial space!

That was a good clue, since Kerren's knowledge is indeed useful here! He could use his spells to determine what this place is, exactly!

Thus, he started doing just that! Casting lots of spells one after another... it was just two spells though, he just casted them a lot.

...

Several dozen minutes later Kerren sat on the ground with a dissapointed look on his face.

He couldn't see anything! Not even a thing! More than that, his spells didn't even work properly!

At first he thought that it's just hard for them to penetrate the defences of this place, thus he gave them more mana to make them more powerful, but...

Not only did it not work, it had a reversed effect! More mana they had - more useless stuff they showed him!

According to those spells, that place was completely normal!

But it wasn't according to his own feelings!

Of course, Kerren tried many methods, he even tried giving just enough mana to feel a spec of dust to his spell, but it didn't show anything knew.

He tried modifying those spells, maybe it was an illusion and he needed special methods? Nope, didn't work either.

It's not like he knew many ways things and none of them worked, it's the opposite, he didn't know anything at all. His knowledge was his own experiments 99.9% of which were complete failure!

Some worked, of course, he already found those that did and used them, since they were somewhat superior to other things as they didn't require a skill to be in his status window, but other than that? He didn't even have a proper attack skill!

As for those books he requested from the guildmaster? All of those weren't attack spells! Kerren told him to bring as many different topics as he could, so he did!

He brought "Light" spell, a "Lighter" and "Water source". Could he kill people with those? Well, if they stood still and assisted Kerren, yeah, probably.

Yeah, he did get more knowledge on those topics, but he was yet to understand how to implement them in his own spells, it was hard for him since he was thinking about all of it alone!

He was far from being insanely smart, he was crafty, somewhat intelligent and a fast-thinker but that's all. He couldn't do much with his spells. But, he had them, which was an achievement in itself since none of the other people on earth even knew they could make them!

But, it was just that.

...

A few hours later Kerren was just crawling on the ground, occasionaly giving Yusaya some "clues" he found. She only said that he's a moron each and every time he did so.

Was she rude? Nope, it's just that he did that for the last 2 hours, he simply gave her random pieces of rocks or large dust chunks and pretended that they were clues.

Soon, he crawled all around the room without finding anything!
