I remember asking my mom a certain question.
"Mama!" I called out to my mom as she watered an unknown plant in a corner back home.
Hearing me, she frowned and I paused fearing I did something wrong when she said,
"Don't call me mama. Mom or Ma is fine. Just not Mama." She said sternly and I nodded relieved that it wasn't anything important.
"Isn't it weird for a fully grown adult to be calling out to his mom like that?" She asked as I took a seat on a nearby bench and watched her.
"It's fine. My past is my past and my present is my present. You will always be my dearest mother." I said and something clattered to the ground and my mom's hands wrapped around me and lifted me to the air.
"Ah! I knew my son was the cutest! There, there. Mama will take care of you for your entire life." The same person who said she hated the word used it to refer to herself in the third person.
