Chapter 1

I have a secret.

I have memories of a past life.

In my past life, I was born on a world named earth.

In that life, I dedicated everything I had to martial arts in an attempt to become the strongest.

But I died before I could fulfil that goal.

And by some miracle, I was reincarnated in another world.

The world I was reincarnated in had something my previous didn't. Magic.

In this world, warriors could leap countless meters in a single jump, slash part mountains with a single blade, and destroy entire countries single handedly.

I discovered this when I was just a couple of months old.

And I made my decision to become the strongest there ever was.

But...

...

"Healing magic." A man in a white coat removed a device from my chest and said to my parents.

Currently, I was two years old. From what I could see, my parents were nobles.

It looks like this nation followed an aristocratic system.

My parents were duke ranked. A little close to the top. Perhaps a little too close for my liking.

Which means I was afforded quite the comfortable life.

"Any other hidden attributes?" My father, Aris Reschelburg, asked the man and the latter shook his head.

"I checked properly and all his mana is directed towards healing."

"I see." My father dropped his head and I turned to my mother, Rachel Reschelburg.

"Mother, what does that mean?"

Despite having been in this world for a couple of years, I hadn't gathered much information on magic.

"It means you will be able to become a really amazing healer." She smiled at me and pinched my cheeks.

Well, I knew that already but that wasn't what I wanted to know.

"Can I become a warrior?" As soon as those words left my mouth, everyone went silent.

And it was then I realized.

"No you can't." My father spoke sharply and my mother glared at him. Or at least I think she did because my sight was starting to blur as water dripped from my eyes and onto my lap.

"Aris!" My mother opened her mouth to speak to my father but I shook my head.

"It's okay. He was just telling me the truth." I said in between sniffles and forced the tears that were coming back.

"Mu..." My mom looked at me and sighed and turned to face the doctor.

"Are you sure you didn't miss something? Even healers nowadays can use physical strengthening." She asked and the doctor shook his head.

"I checked properly. All his abilities are directed towards healing. As if to make up for that, he was born with an abnormal amount of mana. But all he would be able to do is use it to heal." The doctor said and I saw the last bit of hope my parents had die.

"Well, he would make an amazing healer. The likes of which this world has never seen before." The doctor said and stood up.

"He will leave his mark in history, even more so than those warriors. Take pride in your strength." He directed that last part to me and I nodded and squeezed out a response.

...

Night fell and I was inside my bed that was a little too luxurious for a two year old.

"Healing magic." I raised my chubby hand and looked at it and made a fist.

"That doesn't sound too bad." I dropped it and covered my face with my other arm.

"But still," Frustration filled my chest and it seeped out in form if tears that wet the bed.

"I want to be a warrior." To this day, I still don't know the reason why I want to be a warrior.

Maybe it was because they were cool. It started out as one of those ridiculous dreams that children have.

Wanting to be a hero of justice, to pilot a mech, to defeat bad guys and the likes.

That was what it was for me.

And yet, even as I grew older, the dream stuck with me for unknown reasons.

And I decided to pursue it and become a warrior.

I won countless tournaments in my previous world, defeated numerous opponents but yet, it felt like something was missing.

Maybe it was because I know that wasn't my limit. I could become even stronger.

But alas, the physical body only had so much stress and damage it could take.

"Maybe this is actually a chance." An instance ideas stuck me and lifted myself off the bed and sat on the edge.

"I don't know the specifics behind healing magic but if it works similar to how I think it would, then maybe I could do it here." I clenched my hand and raised it to the ceiling.

"Become the strongest. With my healing magic, I will reach the peak and do it."

At a young age, one too young for a boy to make his life long declaration, a certain boy sword an path under the moonlit sky.

...

The magic realm.
