"What's wrong?" Clyde asked as he took in the flustered look of Maxine.
"What's wrong? What could possibly be wrong when I just spent the last two hours sneaking around werewolves to spy on a random girl that has her journals hexed?" Maxine exclaimed.
Clyde chuckled. He knew it wasn't going to be easy for Maxine to evade the wolves, but he didn't expect Evelyn to have hexed her journals, but it made sense. "It sounds to me like you could use a drink," replied and flagged down a waitress.
The waitress returned with a goblet and Maxine downed the warm red liquid in one go. "I just don't understand why you are having me spy on a child?!" She exclaimed.
"It isn't your place to understand," Clyde replied. "But she is special."
"Of course, I know she is special! Her blood smelled like the most delicious thing I would have ever tasted."
