The Hunt Begins

"So I'm dead huh. Well at least I took that psycho priest and his covenant of anarchy down with me haha... Sigh."

"Why hello there young one. I see you're done with your short monologue."

Jade slowly turns from looking at the black abyss to suddenly sitting on a log near a camp fire with a 13 year old kid smiling at him from the other side. "Yo. I'm assuming you're god or a god? Jade said nonchalantly not even phased.

"You are correct, I am a god but please just call me Zora. The child like god said to Jade who was quietly listening while surprisingly eating some s'mores.

"Ok Zora. So am I going up or down? Jade asked waiting for Zora's response.

"Actually Jade, I have a preposal or a job I wish for you to take if you're willing to listen" Zora proposed to Jade who had a raised eyebrow after hearing Zora's preposal.

"And what kind of job are you trying to give me Zora?" Jade asked skeptically but still willing to listen.

"Sigh. You see, there has been a plethora of Robs reincarnating other people throughout the multiverse. However these 9 reincarnaters have caused nothing but chaos, destruction, and death across their respective worlds and new ones and will continue to do so if not stopped. I have already dealt with those incompetent Robs but the nine reincarnaters were already gone." Zora explained to Jade who was listening.

"Who are these nine reincarnaters and why can't you do it yourself?" Jade asked trying to learn more of his percular situation.

"Sigh. Long story short I supposedly offended another snobby god who used an unknown artifact to seal me in the place me and you reside. I can still move out of this dimension but if I move to far I get sent back here. As for those nine reincarnaters. Here, this will give you all you need to know about them" Zora explained as a holographic tablet appeared in front of jade.

Jade would skim through the tablet before it suddenly shot itself straight into jade's chest. "Well that was weird. Sigh, okay so when do I start?" Jade asked Zora with a small grin on his face.

"Good. I'm glad you accepted. Now that we have the introductions out of the way let's get to the powers shall we" Zora said with excitement in his voice as Jade had a few beads of sweat drip down his forehead.

Suddenly three small gatcha like wheels appear in front Jade with three categories such as Powers, Titles, and Perks.

"Seriously Zora. These things?" Jade asked rhetorically with a deadpan look on his face while Zora merely shrugged at his deadpan look.

'Sigh. Alright let's get this over with' Jade thought as the three gatcha wheels start to spin at a rapid pace, until they slowly come to a stop at Jade's newly aquired power, title, and perk.

"Funny. The character I used to main in Brawlhala is the power set I get. Hey Zora, I know pretty much what my power and perk is but what does the title do?" Jade asked Zora who started to have a giant smirk on his face which made jade a little concerned.

"Well my dear Jade. The title is quite literal. You're now officially the king of Hell" Zora said with the most calm expression while inwardly trying not laugh his little ass off as he saw the actual light leave Jade's eyes as he tried to process what he just heard.

"Wait, so let me get this straight. You're saying I'm actually the king of Hell right now?

Well damn, I know I asked earlier that whether I would be going up or down, but I didn't think I was going to be the king of it!" Jade said sorta shell shocked after processing what Zora had told him earlier.

"Indeed that it correct. Unfortunately our time is running out, so I wish you good luck on your mission Jade. I wish we could talk more, but sadly we do not have enough time" Zora said with a small smile but Jade could see it in Zora's eyes that he was very lonely here and it pissed him off that a kid had to stay sealed in this cage of a dimension.

"Yeah I guess so. So tell ya what, since you gave me a second chance, once I'm done with my assigned mission I'll find a way to set you free and we can go beat the breaks off that snobby god. Hows that sound?" Jade said trying to encourage the little god with a promise he is planning to keep.

"That sounds wonderful and I will wait until that time comes. So until then have fun and make sure those wicked reincarnaters get what they deserve" Zora said as his goodbye for now as the space around then started to distort.

"Oh I will. You can count on that" Jade said to Zora as he closed his eyes only to open them again and find himself sitting on a thrown watching over nothing but lava, hellfire, and brimstone across the distance.

'So this is my new home huh. It's a little too edgy so let's fix that' Jade thought as with a swipe of his hand the landscape started to change at his command.

"Huh. For being the king of Hell I don't really feel dif" Jade stopped mid sentence as he felt a firey energy burst within his body and crimson red flames start to envelope his body. His black t shirt and red hoodie burn to ash under his flames, leaving him bare chested. Then a pair of giant black bat like wings burst from his back and crimson and black horns pierce through his forehead, then a long spiked jet black tail with a crimson red highlight at the tip.

"Oh there they are. I was wondering when this stuff would start to kick in" Jade said to no one in particular as raised a mirror to see what he really looks like.

"Phew. I still have my chocolate brown skin but it kinda weird that my pupils are literally pentagrams, which seem to be permanent since I can't turn them off like a dojustu.

Sigh. Well I do like cool eyes and it could be a good conversation starter when I talk to someone. Of course only super natural, can't walk in broad daylight with my horns out with my pentagram eyes on full display.

Seeing enough, Jade retracts his wings back into his body and wraps his tail around his waist like a belt while using his hellfire to reconstruct his black t shirt and red hoodie. He then sits back on his thrown and takes out cross' iconic coin and flips it in the air, only to catch it mid air.

'Let the hunt begin' Jade thought as he lets out a maniacal laugh that echo's throughout his domain.

(a/n: okay right off the bat, I'm gonna base my MCs stats off on the marvel wiki such as 1 being a regular person to 7 being borderline omnipotent or fully omnipotent.)
