The boy at the window

Peter was looking at the tarnished window. He was wandering how the snow was. His parents never let him go out when it's snowing, even though he somehow felt pleasurefull during these days. The swow was something rare too, 'cause that country was the hottest one. Peter was a short child who had just partied his sixth birthday. He was kinda intelligent for his age, but he never showed this part of him to others. In fact almost all the people of his village considered him just a really strange kid, and thinking about experiences of other poor children, he knew that to show himself stupid was much more useful to do not catch ill-intentioned people's attention. In front of others, his parents included, he behaved like a full of energies boy who seemed to neither think about his actions. The behavior of the villagers was cold even because of his looking: in fact, he had light white eyes and light blue hair, while everybody else had black, brown, or blonde ones. In the truth, he just wanted to run away from that place to find a new one where they would accept him, even though in the deepest part of his mind he knew it was impossible that a place like that could exist. Suddenly, he woke up from his thoughts. Somebody knocked with unusual strength. He was curious because he knew that during a blizzard, nobody, except for people with urgent business, bums or mads, would go out. He went out of his room running and asked for what was happening, even though he had already had his ideas. The man who entered the door was really tall and well-dressed. He was wearing an elegant suit with the symbol of the Royal family of Phoenix, the owner of the State where he lived. But what on earth was he doing in an unknown place like his village, and, most of all, into his house. Peter tried to come into the living room, but his parents closed the door before he could come in. At this point, there was only one thing he could do: to eavesdrop.
