Chapter 09: Richard Holt went to the Zero Club

Inspector Richard entered the police station. In front he saw Inspector Jordan sitting in his room. Jordan's eyes fell on Inspector Richard, and his eyes widened in surprise. Inspector Richard had never been to his station, nor had the two met, but Jordan knew Inspector Richard. He got up from his seat in a state of panic and said:

"How come, you visited my station without any notice Inspector. You should have informed me about your arrival in advance so that I could've welcomed you here."

"No need for that, I'm here for an important job. I need to get some very important information from here. I want to know if Josh Gordon has been released from prison or is still in prison, if he is released, where is his residence? Tell me everything you know about Josh Gordon. It's urgent." Inspector Richard requested.

"Are you talking about the Josh Gordon, who was arrested for bribing Judge Harry Wilson?" Inspector Jordan asked quickly.

"Yes! That's exactly the one, I'm asking about." Inspector Richard said filled with some hope.

"He was released two years ago after serving a one-year prison, but was sentenced to two years in prison a few weeks later for killing two people. It has now been reported that he has been released from jail a week ago. I'll write his address on this piece of paper for you, but I can't say for sure if he will be found there." Inspector Jordan wrote his address and gave that piece of paper to Richard Holt.

"Thanks. Tell me about one more thing, What was his relationship with the murderers who killed that old woman's son three years ago?" Richard Holt questioned.

"I have heard that he was their good friend, a close friend." Inspector Jordan replied.

"Were they just friends, or relatives as well?" Richard Holt asked again.

"I don't know anything about kinship. However, he was caught on the spot and there were witnesses against him, so the bribery judge had ruled against him in just one or two hearings." Inspector Jordan answered.

"Alright, then I'll just go and meet him. Let's see what are his intentions and what bad things is he up to now." Saying this, Inspector Richard stood up. He was about to leave when Inspector Jordan asked,

"What's the matter sir? Why are you paying so much attention to that Josh Gordon? What did he do now?"

"You may have heard that Judge Harry Wilson's house was blown up by dynamite?" Inspector Richard asked.

"Yes! I have been informed, that there was an explosion in my area. I have just returned from there with my staff. And I was worried about Mr. Harry and his family as well. But a spectator at that place told me that Mr. Harry and his family were found unconscious by their house and they were sent to the hospital." Inspector Jordan replied.

"Oh! Well you don't have to worry about Mr. Harry, as he's under my protection at a safe place right now and my children are guarding that place. But Mr. Harry doubts that Josh Gordon was the one to attack him and he also says that he's the one who sent the letter. Can you please show me the letter that Mr. Harry handed you over." Richard Holt made a request.

"Yeah sure, why not." saying this Inspector Jordan stood up, went to the cabinet in which all the files were stored and search for that file in which he kept the letter. As Mr. Harry handed him the letter just in the morning so it was found easily. He showed that letter to Inspector Richard. Richard Holt took the other letter out of his pocket and placed both of the letters on the table and observed for some time. Soon he realized that both the writings were same which meant that both the letters were written by the same person. So he gave that letter back to Inspector Jordan and then said to him:

"Make sure to keep this letter safe. It will be a great evidence against the culprit."

"Very well, don't worry I'll protect it. If you don't mind Can I go with you to Josh Gordon's house too?" Inspector Jordan insisted.

"No need! I don't think it's necessary. I'll go and meet him on my own. And ya thanks again for the information." Richard Holt refused his request.

"But What I meant to say is that, the place where he lives is a dangerous place. You shouldn't go there alone." Inspector Jordan said again.

"what do you mean?" Richard Holt was amazed, as he had not yet looked at the address that Inspector Jordan handed him over.

"This is the address of a club, and usually only bandits and thugs go to this club. They are all friends. If one of the thugs gets into trouble inside the club, everyone else is ready to support him, even to the point where it becomes difficult for the opponent to escape. If you go there alone, you have to be very careful." Inspector Jordan worried.

"Don't worry, I've been there before. I know exactly what to do. I'll take care of myself." Richard Hold said confidently and he went out of that police station. While sitting in his Jeep, an idea came to his mind. He started the Jeep with a smile and moved on. Going a little further, he turned his Jeep to one side. After roaming on the road for fifteen minutes, he saw the boundaries of the forest and he took the Jeep off the road and stopped at a deserted place and started changing his appearance while sitting inside the Jeep. After half an hour of hard work, his appearance was changed, and now even his children could not recognize him, although he could be recognized by his clothes, but he had a solution for that too. He had a small box in the back of his jeep, from which he took out some other clothes and put them on. Now no one could recognize him. Shortly afterwards, the jeep turned back and headed for the 'Zero Club'. The name of the club was told by Inspector Jordan, and he heard of that name somewhere else as well. The club was in an isolated area far from the city. This place was on the beach, but that beach was also completely uninhabited and deserted, even those who wanted to have fun did not turn to this side, the general idea was that the waves on this side of the sea are very scary and if anyone falls into their clutches, it becomes impossible to escape. This Zero Club was built in this terrible place. Inspector Richard had never been to this place before. This was his first time.
