Day One

'' Good morning ,what would you like to have?''I asked the lady right in front of the counter.Excitedly she responded ''I'll have the regular coffee and an expresso for you,Anastasia. You seem like the cunning type,curious, but still loving and innocent at the same time.Just like an expresso,full of mystery, isn't that right?''

''Who are you and what do you want from me?''

''Well,lets just say I'm a big fan of the Dior family.Everyone is just is full of secrets and ambitions.But you must know that since you are one of them.Oh sorry,was that a secret?I didn't really mean to reveal it yet,'' she paused and let out a hefty laughter.''Well ,I would love to stay and chit chat all day but unfortunately I have a tight schedule to attend to.''Slowly,she headed to the door.But just before she left she took a steady pause,turned and said ''By the way, my name is Alexander Dior,but you can call me Alex.It was nice meeting you Anastasia,I'll see you soon.''As soon as she left I followed her carrying the ordered coffee as an excuse to learn more.But,it was too late.The black sedan had already drove off.Veronica ran after me immediately she saw me leaving.''What was that all about?''she asked.''I think I've just made a new friend.''

''Let's just go back inside,before we loose both your friend and our job,'' Veronica insisted.I spent the whole day at work in awe.Clearly, a lot was going on but I had no control over anything.My guts gave me a feeling that my father was in on a lot more than I thought.I had to find answers and know who this man truly was.But where would I even start?

My shift ended and I decided to go back home instead of hanging out with Veronica and her minions. Arrrrghhhh!!I despised them .The streets of course were rather quiet that night.The environment seemed to rather sympathize with me than give me hope of living another day in this world that I knew nothing of.At my doorstep,was another white envelope .OMG!!I now had to move out of this place that was haunting me with white envelopes and information I never asked for.Vexed at all that had occurred,I quickly tore the envelope open .''APPROVAL TO JOIN THE FBI TASK FORCE,''read the letter in bold.I couldn't tell if it was excitement I was feeling or fear that was invading my body.Deep down I knew that this path would lead to me to all the answers.Fate had finally offered me a chance and I was not willing to give it up just yet.

Just as I was about to open the door,a black van pulled over.It was a flat bed van that I had never laid eyes on.It's door was slid open and two men in suits got out of the van and took huge steps towards me.My first instinct was to run but I didn't stand a chance against the men.''Miss,kindly get into van,''one of the men requested.Without questioning, I complied and they escorted me to the van at my own unsure pace.I took a seat and a glass of water was offered to me.Gulp by gulp,the water went down my shaky throat.I knew that this wasn't just water but I took it anyway because of reasons that I couldn't explain at the moment.The sense of smell,taste and sight seemed to be vanishing .Before I could utter some words,it all became dark.
