Chapter 22

―Alpha Yves―

'May I know what happened here?' She asked formally.

'Their village had been attacked. Good thing that they immediately evacuated the village. The rogues are using black magic and their men got poison and some died. We already sent men to check on the village.

'Take me there.' Athena orders me. I look at Zoë and she just nodded. I asked the Alpha of the Eclipse pack to take us to their village. He immediately walks and we followed him. I order Terence to look after the villagers.

We use a truck to get there and my people and the Blue Moon pack are walking around searching with their guns and armors. I glance at Athena in the mirror, sitting at the back seat. I met her eyes, and I immediately focus on the road.

We reached the village and the first thing came to our view are the houses there had destroyed by fire. Fire trucks and Enchanters are using their ability to kill the fire. I stop the car when Athena said so. Then I and Alpha Lorenzo hopped out of the car. I open the door at the backseat and offer my hand to the Goddess for her not to trip.

She sniffs some air closing her eyes and looks around. I look around and saw a few people on the ground. Alpha Lorenzo immediately ran to the nearest man who seemed dead. He kneels and looks for the pulse. When he found nothing he nods his head.

'Brave heroes.' She murmurs. I look at her. 'Alpha, prepare all of your soldiers. There will be a war tomorrow night. This is the sign of taking down all of you. They will attack the next pack. Sent this message to everyone, we don't have enough time.'

I immediately nod and I took my phone from my pocket. I mind link Marcus about the war. Then I call Keynes. He immediately answers it. I had told him the message. Tomorrow night will be the war and tonight is another invasion in another pack. They are aware if there will be an unexpected war.

We all hop on the truck and I drive back to our pack. I told the King about it and the message is scattering around the Blue Moon and near packs. Athena had told me where their compound is, according to Electra. We need to make a move tonight. But the way I look at Athena, Minerva's body is not well.

'I think you should rest. My mate's body is not in condition.'

'Hmm,' she looks down at her hand. Lorenzo seemed baffled by what I had said. 'I don't think we have time for it. You see, another pack will be assaulted.'

'I am aware of it, Athena.' I told her looking directly at her in the rear mirror. 'You look pale and you need medication. If you keep using my mate's body without care, I might lose her, again.'

'So, she's your mate?' Lorenzo asked.

'Yes and no. It's a complicated and long story.' I answer.

We reach the town and everyone there is evacuating to our underground compound. My men are roaming around the town shutting all the boutiques, factories, restaurants, and diner. I stopped the truck when I almost hit a child. I immediately open the door and run to the child. He bows his head at me.

'I'm sorry Alpha.'

'It's okay. Are you hurt?' I help him to get up and check if he got bruises. He shook his head. 'Okay, find your parents.' I call someone to take him. Then I run back to the truck.

When we arrived at the Blue Moon pack, everyone is packing foods, first aid kit, and everything useful. I told them to take swords, archery, guns, and spear. Secure the children. I turn to look at my mate again. Her body is not in condition and she's pale.

She falls on the floor and a good thing that I had held her head and back.

'Athena!' I shook her but she's unconscious. I pull her wrist and place it on my cheek. I can feel her pulse but it wasn't normal. Shit! 'Terence, take the command.' I told him.

'Yes, Alpha.'

I carried my mate to the nearest sofa and Electra followed me. She placed her hands on Minerva's temple. She closed her eyes like reading something. I took my mate's cold hands to my cheek. Please, don't let her die.

'Athena descended back to heaven. She said that Minerva had made up her mind.' She told me when she opens her eyes.

'Made up her mind? Don't leave me hanging, Electra!' I scowl at her. She was taken aback by my sudden burst. 'I'm sorry.' I immediately apologize.

'I apologize too, but that's all she said.' she nods her head.

If it means that she made up her mind that she's not going to be back here, I can't accept that. I can't lose her. I can't bear her leaving me.

Please, Minerva, come back to me. I need you. I said that I love you and I want to build my future with you. I promise to be well. I promise not to hurt you anymore, just come back to me.

When night falls, I get back to the house where my mate is. I am done securing my pack. The pack that had been assaulted in the Crescent Moon pack. It was one of the strongest packs in the Kingdom of Blue Moon. The war is brutal and they are stronger than we thought, but through the help of other packs, we had won the war though a few are still on medication. No one died and it is the most important thing.

I went to my mate's room and planted a kiss on her forehead. Then I decided to take a shower to lessen my body odor. It wasn't a bad smell. I just smell woods, mud, and blood because of the war. I fought with them and killed a few.

I put on my boxers and pajamas then I lay beside her. She's breathing normally now. Electra had injected herbal into her and she gets better. I kiss her cheek.

'I think I need a little rest. This day is a little tight. I drown into Alpha's responsibility.' I told her.

I close my eyes gently. All I know is that I had fallen asleep. Am I dreaming again?

I can feel someone staring at me, so I open my eyes. Or maybe I was dreaming. I don't know.

'Yves...' she was there over me looking down at me. I smile and scoop her cheek. It felt real.

'Minerva?' she was lonely and a tear falls from her. 'Hey,' I wiped her tears. 'Hey, don't cry. I love you, okay? That's all matter. I'm sorry that I hurt you...' I sat up and kissed her lips. 'I'm sorry, I love you. Please don't leave me, okay?'

She kissed me and I kiss her back. I can't help my love for her. I need her badly and she needs me too. I touch every part of her to make sure that she's real. I kiss her neck, sucking and biting it a bit. She gasped and clutched my hair. I can feel my wolf that wakes up because of her. I hope that this isn't a dream.

She sat on my lap pulling me closing the pace between us. My hand crawls up her back and reaches the collar of her dress. I ripped it. I am glad that she just let me. She gasped when a cold shivers on her back. I pull down her dress and it shows her beautiful breast.

'I love you...' she whispered.

'And I love you more...' I give her a mouth-full-kiss.

Things get to lose control. It feels so real, I wish that this isn't a dream. If it is, I don't want to wake up anymore. I kiss every part of her showing her how much I love her. I told her every second that I love her. I don't want this to end. I love her with all of my heart and soul.

'Yves,' she murmurs. I kiss her mouth. I groan as I make love to her.

'Minerva... don't leave me, okay? I want you to say it.'

'Yves...'

We stay cuddle together after we reach our orgasms. I tell her in every heartbeat that I love her. I will never get tired of telling her that I love her. I don't want to close my eyes before I lose her again. I wanted to stay awake and never gonna leave this dream.

She said that she was hungry so we went to the kitchen and I cook her, her favorite. She ate a lot and she finished the big bowl. I was happy seeing her eating again. But I am afraid that this happiness is just for short time.

We get back to bed and cuddle each other. I caress her naked shoulder down her arm. It feels so soft and warm.

'Don't you want to sleep? You are tired.' She caressed my face. 'You said that you got a tight day today.'

'I don't want to wake up in the morning, disappointed that this was a dream again.' I said to her. She chuckled and kisses the tip of my nose.

'I love you.' My head spun again and everything went black.

My body is aching and I know that I am awake but my body still wanted to sleep. Then a dream flashes back into my mind. I immediately wake up and look for her beside me. But she was not there.

'Minerva?!' I call and slipped out of the bed. The door from the bathroom opens. She stepped out of the door only has a towel around her body. But she seemed different. I can't feel my mate thought it was my mate's body.

'You are awake. Where are Minerva's clothes?' she asked formally.

Athena's back to my mate's body. I pointed to the closet and she walks to it. I look at myself. I am still wearing boxers and pajamas. Maybe it was all just a dream.

'I will let you settled. I will cook breakfast. My mate's body needs to eat.' I told her watching her back while she's scanning the dress.

'I understand your concern.'

'What do you want to eat?' I asked her.

'I don't know about mortal's food.'

'Okay,' I nod.

I cook breakfast first. It was just eggs, bacon, and there are waffles. I had made her a hot chocolate; it will make her feel better. Then I settled it on the table. She is wearing a white dress with a gold dangle on her arm and a gold chain belt around her waist to hug her dress. She's like a real Goddess. I forgot she was a real goddess in the body of my mate.

'Bon appetite.' I said. I kiss her forehead. Before she even complains and lessoned me again about my lust and to keep distance, I had left saying that it was for my mate.
