Chapter 11.5

―Minerva―

I didn't see it coming. It makes me nervous and thrilled at the same time. I was pacing back in forth in front of the table while they are thinking of the next plan and on how we make a step. Since Helena is still alive and became a vampire, she can't able to perform magic like teleportation and others, but she can make spells and potions through black magic. She has this black magic book and we need to burn it.

She made her attack by poisoning our patrollers last night. I don't know how it was done but they are in critical condition. Even our magic is not enough to heal them. We need to be more careful. She is almost closed to us.

But I can sense that she's getting closer than I thought. I need a new plan. I need to have more hints.

Dina kept on clicking on her pen then twirling it around her fingers. It bothers me and it losses my concentration so I look away. I shook my head and kicked the chair that makes a loud noise.

'We need a report from other packs.' Keynes orders. 'I don't think that we are the only one who had been attacked like this.'

'Correct. Haney, if they already had an antidote make a lot of it and deliver it to other packs to make sure that we won't lose anyone.' I command.

'Copy that.' And she was gone in a snap. I hold my head and breathe.

'We also need to find their area as soon as possible before anything could happen. Minerva, we need to send our spies everywhere to find them.' Keynes is making my head more in pain.

'Yeah... Sebastian, call my spies. I need them here in five minutes.'

'Yes, Commander.' Then he runs outside.

I look over the very quiet Queen. The King had been in the town to see the soldiers distribute the armors.

'Queen?' I call. She cocked her head on the left side biting her lips.

'Something is showing up in my head. My memories.'

'You mean, Selene's memories?' I asked as I sit on my chair. I took the glass of water and take a sip.

'Precisely.' She closed her eyes. 'This is like déjà vu.'

'Hmm...'

'Déjà vu? This might have happened in past.' Keynes said.

'That's plausible. Something will happen next. I can feel Helena getting near to us. She might target the very main block to get on the head.' She looks at me. 'Which is, you.' She pointed to me.

'Me? Of course!' I snapped. I always think of that but why it had slipped from my mind now? If she didn't get on me directly she might direct on the people that are close to me.

'Minerva, Selene had told me that, for the vampires to be able to walk in the sun and won't need to drink blood to have long-lasting immortality they need a half-God's heart.' I snapped my eyes on her. But Vampires can now walk under the sun with few protective gear. Normally, hybrids vampire-human or vampire-werewolf can walk under the sun without any protection.

'She's targeting me... next is you. You have Artemis's with you as your wolf.'

'If that's the case, let's cover both of you including Eros.' Keynes said. 'If she got into you, the game is over on us.'

'This is getting more complicated.' I said.

Seferis is dead and there's a possibility that he will rise again. It's not new to Helena. She had survived after she died.

I went to the hospital to see seven of the patrollers that had been poisoned. They seemed dying and I don't want that. My mother is doing her best to make the cure. They had been in critical condition furthermore we have no time. The poison is quickly spreading around their nerves. They do their job 24-7 just to save them. We had tried our healing power but nothing happens.

'Minerva, you need to go to the New Moon pack. Another poisoning happened there.' Keynes said.

'Copy that.'

I teleport to the New Moon pack and I had fallen on the bouncy sofa. Everyone startles and they are baffled to see me. There're the familiar faces of the New Moon pack. Great! I stood clearing my throat.

'Minerva, from Blue Moon. I need to see the patients.'

'Minerva!' I look around to see Yhana holding a tray of cookies. She's smiling wide at me.

'Hi, I am here to see the patients?'

'Not Yves?' she asked grinning and she extends the cookies to me. They smell delicious so I pick one.

'I am here for a business matter.' I take a bit and I chew and swallowed it. It was delicious and it relaxed me a bit.

'In the hospital. You want Yves to pick you up here?' she asked. 'He's there.'

'No. I don't want to see him for now.'

I finish one cookie then I wave at her walking outside. I run outside and then when I feel tired I just walk. The Hospital is a little far from here. I should teleport. So I did and I was in the corridor with waiting seats outside. The paint around is white while the doors are sky-blue.

'Minerva?' I look at my back to see Yves. He smiled at me and run to me then he hugged me like we haven't seen each other for years. It was just three days since the last time I saw him.

He pushed me a little to face me. Then he scoops my cheeks caressing it with his thumb. He stares at my lips then he wiped the corner of it with his thumb and he sucks it. Oh... why did it suddenly get hot in here?

'You have been in the packhouse?'

'Yes. Your sister also offers me cookies.' I look around but he forced me to face him. 'What? I am not here for you.' His lips curve into a sad one.

'Hmm... it's about the patrollers?' I nod. 'Too bad. I want you.' He kissed me and my body shivers and began to become hot. Geez... he was so good at kissing me. I gripped the sleeve of his coat and kissed him back. The tension between us is quickly building. I have to stop this before anything happened or someone might see us.

'Stop it...' I hissed him. 'I am here for business.'

'Please... just one more. I know you wanted to.' He smirked, and he kissed me again lustfully. His hands keep on massaging me at my sides and back. He is even groaning.

'Stop it!' I pushed him, and he just giggles. Stupid! How can he even laugh in our situation? There are lots of problems here. 'Bring me to them.' I demand him.

He smacks me on my lips and my neck.

'Alright, don't be grumpy, my Goddess. I'll bring you to them right away. But you have to give me more kisses.' He winked. I rolled my eyes and nearly punched him, but he wrapped his arms around me. 'Geez, I just love taking commands from you.'
