"Grandpa!"
Kielyn's eyes beamed and her body moved towards the old man. Donovan jolted from that small voice. He thought that he was hallucinating things. Turned out that this little one was really existing and before his thoughts gathered back, he was already holding her arms because she was about to stumble from her excitement.
The little girl gently tilted her head up and giggled at her grandpa. She stood straight and then stretched her little arms to give the box of cookies, her grandmother ordered her to do.
"I brought the cookies grandma baked." Her little voice tickled the old man's ears.
Donovan was still stunned. He didn't know what to feel or what to say. He just took the box of cookies quietly while staring at Kielyn. He couldn't help but find her gestures cute. Even her smile was the same when Devyn was still a little girl.
