The Wendigo Inn

Van Thomas has just inherited a house from his late grandparents in the countryside and has moved into it--only to realize the house is a rather popular resort that serves all kinds of customers all year round. As the owner and manager of the building, he realizes that the inn caters to an unusual clientele, and has an even more unique staff. His secretary is named Daji. A pirate named Waverly Leviathan with resemblance to Poseidon often stays. Daji's nephew often stays and calls himself Sun Wukong. A novelist and screenwriter, Athena, is working on a masterpiece. Then there's the CEO named Odin and his twin sons named Loki. Could these mythological connections be more than coincidence?

Chapter 61: Still Sick in Bed

How much damage can one demon do?

According to Pius (Asclepius), I was lucky. I could have died. Or worse.

This feels almost as bad. I haven't stopped working, even on my honeymoon, since I took over the Wendigo. The only good thing is that someone hauled one of those orbs from the conference room in my room so I can watch what's going on in the world, and they dusted off an old television, which somehow gets streaming services. The rules of this inn are quirky sometimes. But hey, it's good to be the boss.

I'm watching "Seinfeld" reruns just because it's a classic show, and so funny. Oh, that Kramer. Daji sometimes watches with me when she's not running the inn.

"Kramer IS the Trickster," she argues. "He's as frenzied as Wukong. But Wukong does more work than Kramer ever does on the show."

"I dunno, I think Jerry's the Trickster. He is a comedian."
