The Weakest Otherworlder

In a world where everyone was gifted an opportunity to devour everything in front of them, but what if that opportunity was out of reach? And suddenly a being that they called a God came down and gave everyone a spoon so they could reach them and devour them? Everyone devoured all those opportunities and satiated their greed. Power, wealth, you name it. But there was a person who could only watch those people satiating themselves with a spoonful of power and wealth. So, he prayed to that so-called God. "Please! Just give me an opportunity just like the others, God! Even if it's just a tiny bit! I would really appreciate it!" A young man with messy long gray hair asked God with tears in his eyes as he watched the people around him being killed by Otherworlders. [You have been chosen] [God has gifted you the power to devour all opportunities!] [Welcome, Candidate Alseace LaRoze] "You're kidding, right?" Alseace asked in a trembling voice and forced a smile as he stared at the ability God gave him. "What the fuck am I going to do with this?!" He shouted at God who gave him the ability and glared at the cloudy night. While everyone was given a normal spoon, Alseace LaRoze was given a spoon with a giant hole that even a grain of sand would be hard to pick off with it. Alseace chuckled in disbelief and started laughing as the people around him screamed in agony. "You gave me an ability called Leftover?! Don't joke around!" Alseace screamed his lungs out. [God gave you what you wished for, be grateful]

Chapter 27: Conference. (2)

The auditorium went silent after Sierra said that, and Lucretia looked a bit pissed because Sierra was basically saying that she was weak. Lucretia didn't want to accept that, and she started to turn the whole auditorium warm and slowly became hotter.

"You're telling me that I can't deal with those Demons? Fine, let's see who's going to ask for help later in the future. You might have the knowledge because you came from another world, but you're nothing compared to me," Lucretia said as she slowly stood up and stared Sierra in the eye.

"Why talk? Just come here and let's settle this here and now," Sierra smiled as she walked to the edge of the stage.

"Just keep covering your skin because you might get sick from seeing your own blood," Lucretia scoffed as she walked down the hall.

The whole auditorium was turned into a sauna, and everyone was covered in their own sweat because of Lucretia. She was so powerful that she could melt steel with the heat she produced from her body alone. That was why she was called the Fire Empress by the people of East Dasmein.

"I have killed thousands of lives. I can kill you without even spilling a single blood or even dirtying my body. Are you interested in seeing that?" Sierra asked with a smug on her face.

"That's enough, Luc," A man with long blue hair wearing a black sweater said before Lucretia walked past his seat. He was Mihangel Pryde, the Guildmaster of the Lost Age Guild. The second strongest Candidate in Dasmein. "You have gone too far, and you need to behave because we are a guest here," Mihangel glanced at Lucretia as he cooled down the auditorium.

Lucretia stopped moving because she saw the floor in front of her had turned into ice. She knew how strong Mihangel was and she could be frozen to death if she stepped on it. She then decided to back off and listen to Mihangel because she didn't want to create a scene and fight two people.

Mihangel stood up and looked at Sierra as he raised his hand, "You said that the Demons are going to attack Dasmein, but is there another prove that you can convince us?"

"The Demon Fragment. When did the first Demon Fragment got discovered? A year ago, and ever since that day, more and more Demon Fragments have been discovered. Do you think it was just a coincidence? Not only that, but anomalies started to appear from the portal colliding and a portal had turned into a vortex. You won't see a storm without wind. It's a sign, a warning," Sierra answered with her hands in her trousers' pockets.

Mihangel still wasn't convinced by Sierra's answer, but even if he asked more of it, he knew there wasn't much evidence except Sierra's knowledge.

"As I said, you can believe me or not, and I have no obligation to do more than this because I have no reason to save your world. But keep an eye on those portals because it will happen again soon, and there will be more of it," Sierra warned as she stared Mihangel in the eye.

A man with slick black hair and a beard raised his hand as he looked at Sierra. He was the Guildmaster of the Notorious Guild, Hunter Roseborn. "Miss Red, we all know the effect of the Demon Fragment, and it's said if we consumed the fragment it would give us power, but God forbids us to do so. Do you know anything about it?" Hunter asked.

Everyone wanted to ask the same question as Hunter, and they were curious about it as well because they wanted to try to consume it. They were too scared to take the risk because they didn't know what would happen to them if they did.

Sierra hesitated to give an answer, but then she sighed as she walked to the podium. She said, "If you consumed it, you have to be prepared for the consequences. First, if you don't want to accept it, you will die and your soul will be taken by the Demon God." "If you accepted it, you will forever become a Servant of the Demon God, and you will lose your privileges as Candidate," Sierra explained.

"Tell us the whole truth," A man with bright purple hair said. He wore round sunglasses with a piercing on his bottom lip and a lot of piercings on his ears. He was the Guildmaster of the Vendetta Guild, Carazen Anvien.

"I'm not saying that you'll grow weak or anything. In fact, it was quite the opposite," Sierra paused as she stared blankly at the podium. "You will grow stronger and you can raise your levels without having to do Atonement or be punished for it, but as a Servant of the Demon God, you will have to offer something in return for the power you attained which is souls of the people from the world you're living in," Sierra continued and looked at them.

Everyone was hiding their expressions, and nobody could tell what was on each other's minds. They started to look at each other and be suspicious of each other because some of them might be crazy enough to do that.

Elenoir and the others looked at each other and remembered the time when they were having dinner on the rooftop at Sierra's apartment. She mentioned something about Demon worshipers, and they believed this was what she meant by becoming a Servant of the Demon God.

Alseace looked at Sierra and was confused as to why she would tell them about it. It only made them more intrigued about consuming the Demon Fragment, and it sounded like she was trying to stir conflict among the Candidates.

"Ah, I almost forgot about the crucial part of it," Sierra said to break the ice. "Once you became the Servant of the Demon God, once you're dead, you will be tortured for eternity," Sierra explained.

"Miss Red, you're saying if someone consumed the Demon Fragment, the world that we are living in right now will be invaded by Demons immediately?" A woman with short violet hair asked. She was the Guildmaster of the Watervale Guild, Violette Astier.

"Not immediately, but yes," Sierra nodded her head in agreement.

"If so, is there an obvious way to see if someone had become a Servant?" Violette asked and she asked to make sure if one of them decided to consume it, they would know immediately.

"There is, and that's a mark on their forehead that they can't erase. A mark of a Demon worshiper," Sierra answered as she unwrapped a candy bar that she took from her pocket.

They all looked at each other again to see if anyone was thinking of a way to hide the mark. But again, nobody was making any expressions because all of them were so good at making poker faces.

"You don't have to worry. I have the ability to see if someone has taken the oath to become a Servant, the same as how I'm able to see how dangerous the portals and vortexes are. So, if there's anyone that I stumble have become a Servant, I'll immediately kill them on the spot," Sierra said so casually as she chewed the candy bar.

After they got all the answers that they wanted to know, Gratya took over the conference. She informed the Guildmasters that there would be a new rule that had been approved and immediately would be applied. It was the requirement to enter the portal, but it wasn't a strict rule that they had to accept and the Emissary wouldn't take any responsibility if there was an incident inside of the portals if they didn't follow the protocol.

The Guildmasters felt like the Emissary had been putting a lot of weight on Candidates. None of them agreed with that new rule because that would only make it harder for everyone to grow stronger. Of course, Gratya knew about it, and that was why she said the rule didn't have to be followed.

She put that rule on the portals that belonged to the Emissary for the Candidates' safety. The big Guilds who owned portals could do the same if they wanted to. If they wouldn't follow the rule, those who died inside the portals when the incident happened, the guild who owned the portal would have to take full responsibility for it.

Ackerly, Hunter, and Mihangel agreed with the new rule and believed it would be best to put precaution rather than regret it later. Violette, Lucretia, Louvenia, and Carazen decided to ignore it and kept things how they had always been. Katya already applied it to the portals she owned since the Silver Talon was an ally to the Emissary.

Everyone left the conference after that, leaving only the Guildmasters from the West Dasmein. Niko Valteri approached them with Gratya and a few Agents behind him.

"I'm surprised that things went better than I expected," Niko said as he sighed and sat with Elenoir and the others. "I can only rely on you to protect West Dasmein because as you can see, we the Emissary have to deal with those brats and try to convince them again after this," Niko looked at them all with a handkerchief in his hand because he had been sweating because of Lucretia's heat.

"We will do our best because we aren't like them who only focused on their own gain and compete with each other," Nero answered with a smile as he leaned on his seat.

"I know I can rely on you guys, and if you need anything, please just tell me. We the Emissary will do anything to help," Niko said as he stood up and wiped the sweat off his forehead. "Well then, I have to go now. Take care," Niko smiled and then left.

Niko was walking to the exit, but then he saw Sierra standing next to the exit door. She looked at him with a serious expression, and that alone was enough to tell that she wanted to speak with him privately. They both then left the auditorium and went to Niko's office to talk privately.

Niko sat down at his desk as he sighed and stared at Sierra who stood in front of the bookshelf. He wondered what she wanted to say, but her stare was enough to make him nervous. No matter how he looked at her, she was still the same as the first time he saw her. He was in his 20s when he first met him, and Sierra was the one who helped him take the position as the president of the Emissary.

"Spill it," Niko said as he sat straight and put his hands on the table.

"I want you to keep an eye on this person," Sierra slid a piece of paper to Niko's desk.

Niko was surprised when he read the name, and then he looked at Sierra in disbelief, "Why are you suddenly want me to ask to keep an eye on him?"

"He's the only one who's interested in consuming the Demon Fragment," Sierra answered with a cold expression.
