A Lot To Take In

Jace stands up and hands Ashlynn back the paper before brushing past her and leaving the room. He needs some time to think, to breathe. Too has happened.

Jace takes the stairs too fast to the top of the boat and stands staring over the railing.

If someone had told him a year ago that he would fall in love with an angel he would have scoffed. If they told him what she was destined to do he would've told them to write a book about it and shove it up their ass… Yet here he is. What a year ago would have been an impossible scenario and he, like her, is scared.

Ashilynn. The girl who carries the weight of many worlds on her shoulder at only 18. He knows he should feel angry that she dragged him into her world but he is not. He never could be.
