Chapter 12

Einar already knew that he could go all out in this fight, but he honestly did not want to hurt anyone. So as the fight had started, Einar was still trying to find a way to not hurt his opponent.

While thinking about this, Einar looked up to see that Ragnar was already charging at him. He did not care if he hurt Einar or not.

Ragnar arrived in front of Einar in no time, and he slashed his sword down from above as soon as he arrived.

Einar was surprised to see that his moves were not that quick. To him, the same happened as what happened with the demonic cat, he had plenty of time to react.

He reacted with a dodge, without drawing his sword. He stood to the side, avoiding the hit.

This surprised Zarug, he did not expect Einar to be this fast. The teacher was surprised too, no one at the age of Ragnar had been able to avoid his strikes.

Ragnar and all his classmates were just as surprised as the teacher. This was the first time anyone had seen this.

Einar did not react to all the shocked gazes, since he did not pay any attention to them. He was thinking hard on how to end this fight in one hit, without hurting Ragnar.

If anyone there knew what Einar was thinking, they would all think of him too soft. In this world, you have to be harsh to everyone.

Ragnar came out of the shock, as he once again drew his sword. This time it was a swing from the side so that Einar could not evade by stepping to the side.

This strike was even slower for Einar, since it did not have the momentum of gravity this time. Einar jumped up, lightly tapped his foot on the blade of the sword to jump higher, before he did a backflip and landed as nothing happened.

Everyone was shocked once again, this was some masterful acrobatics, that most people could only ever dream of learning.

Einar had no idea of what he had just done though, as he was thinking hard of not hurting Ragnar, his mind had wandered. His head was no longer focused on the fight, and his eyes had turned white.

Zarug noticed this right away, he knew exactly what this was, and it was a big opportunity for Einar. "Everyone, don't move! You can not disturb him now!" Zarug talked in everyone's minds since he did not want to disturb Einar.

The teacher of the class knew exactly what was happening too, now that the principal had told everyone to not disturb Einar. He knew of how big this opportunity was. He was not a monster, he didn't like commoners, but he would never destroy an opportunity like this.

Everyone was just sitting in this place, looking at Einar. They were all waiting for some kind of reaction to happen. After all, right now he was standing exactly where he landed before.

Inside Einar's mind.

Einar was looking around, but he had no idea what he was looking at. It was an empty space, there was nothing, there was no one.

Suddenly he saw a monster appear, it was the monster from the village. The monster that killed everyone, and the monster that nearly killed Einar.

Einar had already killed another demonic beast, and he knew he was much stronger. But somehow, he felt fearful, he was scared of this beast. It was probably a trauma for him.

Suddenly the monster started to run at him like it wanted to kill him. Einar's face started to darken, what should he do? Should he run? Should he stay? He had no idea.

He decided that he had to run away, but as he turned around. His face turned even darker. He saw something that he had never thought he would see again.

He saw his old village, all the people in it, laughing, enjoying life. It had a happy atmosphere, even his father was there, waving at him.

It seemed like no one in the village could see the monster. It seemed like only Einar could.

When he looked back at the monster, he saw that it was quite near him. It seemed like it did not notice him though, it just ran by him, towards the village.

"No, no, no, no ... NOOOO!" When Einar saw this, he almost went crazy. His face showed a crazed look, He didn't want to see the village slaughtered, not again.

Einar started sprinting toward the beast, in hopes that he could kill the monster before it got into the village.

Sadly, he saw that he was much slower than the monster in front of him. His face was turning more and more crazed. 'I ... Have ... To ... CATCH UP!!' He yelled out in his mind. He had to kill this monster, this village was his life, his everything.

As he yelled out in his mind, he felt his body become lighter. He felt that he started to run faster. He started to catch up to the monster in front of him.

He was sadly still not fast enough to make it to the monster before it is in the city. "Faster! FASTER!!" Einar yelled out, as he felt his body starting to ache.

He did not mind the pain, as he saw that he had caught up to the monster. He needed to kill it, he had to.

He used his skill 'quickdraw' by the side of the monster and cut off its head.

As soon as the head of the monster hit the ground, everything started to turn to nothingness again. This time though, there was a man standing in front of Einar.

"F-Father?" Einar looked at the man and recognized him immediately as a small tear slipped out of his eye. "I am sorry ...!" Einar felt great regret that he couldn't save the village.

"Don't worry son, I know you did all you could!" Einar's father took him into an embrace and patted him on his head. "You have done well!" He said as he had a proud look.

"AAAAH" Einar could not hold it in anymore, as he broke down in tears.

"Son, don't cry, I might not be by your side anymore, just know I will always be proud of you!" Einar's father had a proud face still, there was a hint of sadness though.

"I-I *sob* I will do all I can to keep making you proud!" Einar said, in the middle of his tears.

"I know, I know son!" His father could not describe how proud he was at this moment. "Unfortunately Einar, I don't have any more time here, you need to get back to your life!" he said, as he started fading away.

"One last thing before I disappear, all the villagers in our village, are very happy to see you doing so well! goodbye son!" These were his last words, as he completely disappeared.

"No, don't go dad!" Einar broke down once more, he did not know what to do.

Suddenly the whole world Einar was in, disappeared.

***

On the outside where everyone was waiting for Einar to come back from his weird stage.

They were all still looking at him, as more than three hours went by.

*BOOM!*

Suddenly a loud boom resounded in the air, followed up by a dense 'Aura.' It was so dense, that even the royal students felt threatened by the pureness of the 'Aura.'

"It seems like he succeeded" Zarug was pretty casual about it.

"Y-Yeah! The thickness and pureness of this 'Aura' are rivaling some of the most talented people in the academy!" The teacher was a little frightened, to be honest.

"Still against him joining your class?" Zarug was looking at the teacher with a provocative gaze.

"No! Please let him join my class" The teacher was serious, he even bowed.

"I already said he would join your class, please get up!" Zarug did not expect him to get so serious about this. He did know the reason for it though.

Einar was at the moment just standing at the same spot, tearing up. He was still thinking of what just happened.

"Congratulation on facing yo ... You okay kid?" Zarug came over to congratulate Einar when he saw that there were tears in his eyes.

"Y-Yeah, I think so!" He used the leave of his shirt to rub away the tears. "How may I help you?" Einar looked up at Zarug, still a little sad.

"Oh, I just came to congratulate you on beating your heart demon!" Zarug patted Einar on the shoulders as he said. "It will give you a great boost in your power!"

Th-Thank you, but uhm ..." Einar had no idea what a heart demon was, so he wanted to ask him, but he didn't want to seem dumb.

"You don't know what a heart demon is, huh?" Zarug already knew. Not many people at Einar's strength knew about heart demons since you would not be affected by them before they get powerful enough.

Einar just nodded in response.

"Okay, come to my office later, I will tell you what they are!" Zarug said, as he started to walk away. "For now, enjoy class!"
