On the Run
MingYu stirred into a pleasant warmth wrapped around him. The weight of ZhiYi's arm over his side reminded him that he was living the moments he had only dared to dream of before. He blinked his eyes open lazily, getting used to the sunlight that filled their room, highlighting the little dust particles floating in the surrounding air.
He glanced up and smiled.
ZhiYi was still fast asleep. His long, dark lashes rested against his smooth skin, and his lips were slightly parted. His robes had become dishevelled over night, and the little star-shaped scar over his heart came to view.
Sighing with content, MingYu shuffled around until his head rested over ZhiYi's stretched out arm. Did Wu TianLan wake up every morning to this same breathtaking sight too? MingYu was always the one who woke up first, so Wu TianLan must have been the same. Did he lie in place and waited for the other man to stir, or did he nudge him awake? Mutter sweet nothings into his ear?
