For What Is To Come

[Human, you may have just doomed us all]

'Say what now?'

[Where do you think those 'gates' as you call them come from?]

'I- I don't know...'

[They are sent by advanced lifeforms trying to spread their influence to the far reaches of this galaxy]

Wait, you know who they are?

[ Well, I have an inkling idea]

'Then why have you not attacked them until now?'

[Do you think I never thought about that?]

'Then why haven't y-

[ It's because they strong, no it's because we're weak, the highest level of power they have in their ranks is something humans on this planet cannot even begin to comprehend]

[Humans are light years away from achieving their level of technology]

[Do you now get my point? there is no scenario in which humans come out victorious against them]

[Though, the amount of information I gathered is still too Insufficient for me to make a decisive conclusion, only a hypothesis ]

'You said there spreading influence, what does that mean?

[These 'gates' could be defined as a spaceship with an exploration crew, the portals open a getaway to another planet, from which already stationed monsters try to siege that particular planet]

[it's the reason why monsters came out in swarms when they first arrived on our planet, the rate at which the Inhabitants can defeat the monsters is what determines what planet they plan to prioritize]

Hmm....I think I get it, but just to be sure, can you explain better?

[ The gates are used to transport monsters which can be termed as front line soldiers in a war, how fast the species living on that planet can dispose of them will determine the best one to investigate and takeover]

Hmm....

[Basically, monsters are used to test the waters, before the 'bosses' come to investigate and after, may or may not Invade or destroy such planet]

Ohhh...ok I got it

'So why haven't they?

[Why haven't they what?]

'Why haven't they invaded this planet yet? surely with that kind of technology that should have already done so...don't you think?

[....]

[ like I said, the amount of information I gathered is insufficient to make an accurate assessment, but I also wonder why they haven't yet]

[ I could only resort to assumptions and theories until I obtain sufficient information, but I hypothesized that something has been hampering their progress or they had their eyes elsewhere, but with the stunt you pulled, you have brought our planet right into the spotlight]

'What do you mean?

[No lifeform on this planet should be capable of forcefully closing up a gate of that size and since I'm knowledgeable enough to know that, so are they]

[What do you think they would do to any unknown variable that suddenly pops up to threaten their plans?]

"They.....eliminate it..."

He finally understood the gravity of the situation and that he had messed up big time.

[Exactly]

[We should prepare for an invasion any time from now, I shall send a message to all hunters worldwide to prepare for the invasion]

'You said all that stuff yet you still believe we have a chance at survival?'

[I have done my calculations, although little, it is possible for us to survive]

[I'll be needing that ability of yours, it might be the key that allows us to win the coming battle]

'Okay, but I don't know how to control it yet, so it's basically a double-edged sword.'

'How are you so calm, when you hypothesized the news of an incoming invasion and the possible destruction of your world?'

[I don't have what you humans would call 'Emotions', and panicking never solves a problem]

[ I can only do the most logical thing in situations like this]

[About your ability....hmm, I'll see what I can do about that, in the meantime, keep practicing]

'But what about the monster invasion?'

[ Don't worry about that, you know when it's time, just be ready when it happens]

'Got it'

With that, the holographic face disappeared, and I went on to kill the remaining scorpions while practicing and learning how to control my ability.

I still haven't been able to change back to human form yet, but hopefully, with the planet's help, it should be possible.

'So now I caused an invasion on my second day..."

'Sigh...way to go you dumbass!

----------

Within the vast expanse of the galaxy, on a planet without a sun, where chill winds prevail and the weather is always gloomy, a huge black-colored spaceship with outstretched tentacles in front while the back was made into a shell-like shape.

A creature with a head that looks like that of an octopus, holding three eyes, four tentacles attached to his mouth and a small hole on opposite sides of its head, three fingers with long black nails on its two hands, webbed feet, all covered with a layer of mushy purple-colored skin.

His body is skinny and dressed in draping long black clothing that had an ancient look with a black robe and high collar attached to it.

This creature could be seen sitting on a silver-colored chair with lines of blue seen moving on it, he's seated in what one would call a command center, with multiple screens In front of him, a white tiger and a sabre-croc could be seen beside this being.

'What's this, said the creature as he gently swipes the floating screens in front of him, before zooming into a particular one.

Within it, he saw a portal they used to send their subjugated forces towards a small planet being sealed.

"Hmm....power that can forcefully seal our portals? did our lord underestimate this part of the galaxy too much?

He immediately threw that thought away from his mind, his lord didn't make a mistake, it simply was not possible, after all, it was because of their lord that they advanced this much in sort a short time.

"Hmm...whatever it is, it needs to be eliminated, we cannot our plans falling at this juncture"

"I should meet my lord for further instructions'

He turned his chair around to see other beings like him moving about sorting different things to smoothen the process towards their end goal.

He moves with haste as he goes to a step that levitates him into the upper floor, he finds himself in a chamber denied of light, a glowing capsule illuminates it.

Held in this capsule is a glowing green liquid encompassing a brain, a brain with ten tentacles attached to it and tiny tadpoles running around it.

"My lord," said telepathically the one just arriving.

"Yes Dha'ik what is the matter" the brain ask telepathically.

"This is, my lord" he began to share his memories through his connection.

"Hmm.....That planet's extermination is to be pushed up our agenda and made priority no 1'

"Their rate of growth is too explosive, although their brains will be very good nutrients for our growth, is it simply unwise to risk such a thing, take our best forces, and accompany them on this mission."

"You are to make sure that no being from that planet makes it out alive"

'What if we can't, what if it fails my lord, the information we have about the lifeforms living on that particular planet is limited, their capabilities are still unknown to us.'

'Hmm, in that case, get ready to use "that", if all else fails.

'Yes my lord'

What shall come of this yet to be known, but one thing is certain.

The outcome of it shall have a massive effect in the near future.
