Chapter:5:Yellow eyes

I woke up due to the sun's rays kissing my face, and the canaries singing a melody that's more of a wake-up song to those that live here. I took a look at the clothes Peter pan arranged for me. "He is the chief's dog." I thought as I took out my cloth and left for the river. I creaked open my door the room was pretty much quiet than I expected it to be. I tried to close my room door without making any noise

"Are you sneaking out? Are you a Child?" I heard Lilith's unusually deep intimidating voice I turned around to see her reading my scroll while her arm was resting on the couch.

"I'm not Chief I'm leaving for a bath," I said trying to sound unbothered as possible

"Two rooms to your next is Cato's wake him if you need help" She closed the scroll and was about to leave but what I said stopped her

"Good morning Madame Remis" I walked towards Cato's room, well aware of her glare at me. I entered his room without knocking because a door that was not locked does not deserve knocking. His room was smaller than mine but had two beds there was hardly any space to walk because of those two wardrobes resting opposite the bed. Suddenly my eyes caught the nightstand squeezed between the two beds it had a painting in it my legs were naturally attracted to it as I picked the frame. "Luca Malachi Remis" I whispered. He looked young and subtle my eyes searched for all the coldness I saw these years but there was none but his eyes were filled with warmth. On his left there's Cato he looked way younger than he is now his face looked healthy and charming. I smiled at my thoughts but then I noticed the girl sitting between them she had raven hair and bright yellow eyes wait is this-

"Who let you inside my room?" I tried to act normal and put the painting back in its place but my legs got tripped by the carpet and I ended up on the empty bed

"How did you enter?" I sat straight and looked at him he didn't look like he was sleeping he looks so fresh

"Your chief gave me permission and take me to the river," I said he stood and walked towards his wardrobe

"Why did you bring me here to this isolated place?" I asked clearly annoyed by how he brought me to a place that is isolated from the village

"That's my order Mr.Burton" He clearly gets my nerve I hold my breathe and went under the water to scare him

I neared him "You gonna love this peter pan" I thought to myself before pulling his leg but Something or someone started pulling me i tried to shout but all I felt was water in my throat I started getting chocked.

All I could see was darkness

No I can't be here

Leave me

In the deep darkness I saw those bright eyes

those gorgeous yellow eyes

staring deep into my soul
