Chapter 97 - Camping
The sun hangs high in the sky, casting an intense light over the forest that hides the Labyrinth of Gekko.
It's a tense start to the afternoon, where every sound has a greater dimension than usual, the rustling of the trees and the sound of the wind are constant, as is the sound of breathing from each member of the group of duelists outside the labyrinth. Everyone is waiting for Rylan to do what needs to be done.
For his part, Rylan has had to wait anxiously for ten minutes after his colleagues have left to start his plan. That's how long Kaito said the group would need to get back outside smoothly and without making too much noise.
Rylan's breathing is controlled so as not to make a sound, and his footsteps are light as feathers touching the stony ground as he approaches the kobolds' apartment chamber again. Soon, he hears the sound of footsteps and hides behind a rock. A pair of Kobolds with torches pass by, and he knows what he has to do.
