Chapter 73 - Duality
When Kaito touches the icon of the Magic Detection Scroll, it materializes in the palm of his right hand.
The scroll is ordinary, with an already oxidized copper roll, and the paper looks worn.
"This is a one-time use item, so I hope it works," Kaito says to himself.
With the Magic Detection Scroll firmly in his hands, Kaito treats the artifact with due respect, opening it carefully. The paper rolls gently downwards, revealing lines and lines of text in an ancient language. However, there is no need to recite or read anything, for as soon as opened the scroll already activates itself.
The item responds readily to Kaito's will, radiating a soft glow in its letters and emitting a subtle hum.
"In Mortal Tower, when I used items like this, the surrounding spells were simply pointed out by a magical arrow on the minimap..." Kaito remembers and waits a few seconds, but nothing happens. "However, it seems the same won't happen here, does it?" He says and sighs.
