Chapter 12 (Sudden Appearance)
After the voting and decision were taken for the duel the teams and positions were made and the first match in the batch of Asaki was with a level 5 fighter who was a girl named Shizuki only talented in earth magic and not experienced in battles.
"Let's get to it kid." Akari said.
"Yes, treat me well. Though I know the difference between our power as you have a rather unusual overflowing mana coming out of you.
*LET THE MATCH BEGIN*
"You attack first kid." said Akari.
"Thanks for the offer miss Akari. Now then..... 'EARTH SMASH'." Shizuki casted the spell in a short way and made the ground below Akari shake and split in two.
"Hoh, a no chant? Well no matter. This play trick is not enough to defeat me." Akari easily dodges the spell and says
"Let me show you the difference in our power kid, Be ready."
"I would be glad to see it." replied Shizuki.
"O, THE LOW SPIRITS WHO FORMED A CONTRACT OF AID WITH ME. I ASK THE SPIRIT OF ICE AND BOLT TO COMBINE AND FORM A SWORD TO ENSURE MY VICTORY. ELECTRO ICE SHOT"
Akari casted the spell and a charged sword appeared made of ice, aimed at Shizuki.
"I WITHDRAW! I have no plans of feeling pain today. Thanks for the match Miss Akari. I hope we meet again soon." Shizuki said and left the arena.
On the other side Yahiro was also busy in a match and was totally winning. His opponent was a mage who mastered water magic but Yahiro with his assassin skills was able to take him down in no time.
"THE WINNERS OF THE FIRST MATCH ARE YAHIRO AND AKARI. NOW LET'S MOVE ON TO THE NEXT MATCH
The next match in Akari's batch was of a level 7 ace of ice and the man who introduced the duels.
"Don't let me down ok old man?" said the ice ace
"Don't worry, I'll make sure to keep you entertained." he replied.
The match started and the ace of ice started to cast a medium-level ice bullet spell which targeted the old man with 100 ice bullets. It was fast as he was also a no chant.
"ICE MACHINE SHOT" he shouted.
"That's impressive but it is nothing in front of me." the man said.
As the bullets reached him, he blocked all of them with nothing but intensity pressure from his body.
"HOW IS IT POSSIBLE? IT TOOK NOTHING BUT A SECOND TO BLOCK THEM. I WON'T LET YOU HAVE YOUR WAY." the ice ace shouted and started casting the same spell again and again

There were more than a thousand shots but the man deflected all of them.
"Now it's my turn." he said.
He spirited towards the ace at a speed that was hard to keep up to and a single punch knocked the ace out.
*SMASH*
"im-impossible." he said before fainting.
"Hey the spirit woman."
"What...he found out that I am a spirit. He is rather interesting." Akari said in her mind.
"I am quite interested in fighting with you. So try not to lose."
"As you say mister." she replied.
"Oh where are my manners, I forgot to introduce myself. For now just remember my name. It is Daniel." he said
"A weird name but ok, Daniel. I am Akari and I take on your challenge." Akari replied.
"HAHA I like it. I'll be waiting." he said
On Yahiro's end, the fight was normal and nothing really happened. And he was just resting.
Suddenly he, Akari and Daniel felt a strong presence of high class demon coming towards them.
"Do you sense it Yahiro." asked Akari
"Yes I do. What is it?" Yahiro replied
"It's a demon-level monster or that's my guess." said Daniel.
"EVERYONE TAKE COVER. DANGER IS APPEARING. TAKE THE INJURED ONE AND RETREAT FOR NOW. THIS MATCH WILL CONTINUE AFTERWARDS." Daniel shouted.
But no one listened to him thinking of it as a trick.
The presence was getting stronger and Yahiro, Akari and Daniel made a formation to work together for now to defeat the monster.
The beast was getting even nearer until it was near enough to be seen. It was a four-tail golden fox that got there by sensing the mana of the warriors present.
Upon seeing it, many of the fighters flew with fear and only 5 stayed which included Akari, Yahiro, Daniel, Shizuki, and the next challenger of Akari.
At first the formation did good in preventing any damage by the beast but his power just kept on increasing and he started to increase its speed making it harder to defeat it. By the time all of them suffered injuries and now the beast was seen to be chanting a powerful spell.
A high-level fireball came flying at a super-fast speed towards Sakura, the next challenger of Akari, and got severely injured
*SMACK*
"AHH MY LEG, IT'S BROKEN." he shouted
"Hurry up and heal him." Yahiro said
Akari healed him but he lost a lot of mana and was unconscious.
"Looks like this thing won't be backing off that easily, Hey Akari and Yahiro, sorry I have been hiding it but please sustain this fact too." Daniel said as he was changing his form.
"You are..." said Yahiro
"Yes, I am the hero who defeated the blast dragon. Sorry for not telling it before. Now let me handle the rest."
