The Lake

"Duke, don't you have any other jobs?" 

"This is my job."

"Tailing me?" 

Kiara felt so tired of this because Noah followed her instead. She knew that this was Noah's castle, but followed like this. It felt like she didn't have her own privacy. 

Kiara stopped and looked at Noah abruptly. 

"You want to go out, Kiara?"

Kiara looked around her. Apparently she was the one who got carried away from Noah's words. Her desire just now was easily shaken just because of Noah's gentle sentence and the smile on his face. 

There is a saying in this world that says that if we have a handsome face, then half of our problem is over. 

That goes for Noah. 

Now Kiara instead walked with Noah calmly, unlike before which she was trying to escape from Noah. Because her curiosity about what was outside the mansion had made him want to follow Noah. 

"Ah, we're going up with this?" Kiara looked at Noah in disbelief. 

She knew this horse. Yesterday she saw Noah wearing it, a very beautiful big horse. Her black color was shiny. But she couldn't ride a horse at all, she never practiced for it. Practicing horses is a hobby of rich people because of the high cost. 

The horse in front of her was also so big that she had to raise her head and she doubted that she could jump on the horse's back. 

 "Yes." 

"I can't ride a horse, Noah." 

Noah smiled, just as suddenly he lifted Kiara's body, which made Kiara so shocked. Unconsciously, she held both of Noah's shoulders because of her fear of falling. After Kiara was on the horse, Noah jumped up behind her. His thick chest touched Kiara's back, making Kiara immediately startled, and her face was red. 

Noah kicked his horse. The reins were held by Noah tightly and the horse ran towards the exit of the castle, just where the knights had opened the gate in front of them. The big horse passed through the gate and they came out quickly. 

"Relax your body. If you are tense, all your body will hurt." 

Noah's low voice directly in Kiara's ear made Kiara embarrassed. It was too close for her to feel the warm breath from Noah. 

Kiara tried to do as Noah said, she made her body more relaxed and moved like the rhythm of a horse's movements, a strong wind hit them, Kiara's long hair fluttering backwards and this feeling of freedom made Kiara smile from ear to ear. Noah saw that, and she was happy, the horse running faster and faster in the snow pile. 

"The Winterriddge region is almost completely covered with heavy snow." Noah spoke, his voice steady even though they were on the horse. 

Kiara didn't need to turn around to look at the expression from Noah, she subconsciously memorized Noah's expression. She imagined Noah's little smile that usually appeared when her tone of voice was soft like this. 

"Does that mean there was a time when Winterriddge wasn't filled with snow like this?" 

"When the full moon appears, within three months, then the Winterriddge will be spring. It was the best time to get married." 

Kiara felt a powerful pressure on her back, as if to say that this was a code for her. Regarding the marriage statement, just now Noah was serious. He had never been so serious about a woman. Kiara blushed and didn't want to talk about this. She turned her attention forward and saw a very beautiful reflection. 

The snow that was in the farther part of Noah's castle, forming an ice that made them like crystals, looked so beautiful, Kiara opened her mouth and the horse stopped. Noah stared at the same rights as Kiara, he let Kiara admire this wild Winterriddge. 

"This territory is called the fairy forest." 

"Why is it said that way? There a fairy living here?" 

"It's just a fairy tale, but it's definitely because this place is different from other regions. It's beautiful and there are no monsters here." 

Kiara's body got goose bumps when she heard the monster mentioned. Yes! It was a common thing here. Monsters wandered around and instantly made Kiara look at her surroundings vigilantly. 

A small chuckle sounded and it made Kiara get goosebumps even more. 

"There is none here. They are also afraid of my presence." 

"So you are scarier than a monster?"

Noah touched his chin, scratched it, and then opened his mouth. 

"it depends on how they deal with me." 

The flash of red eyes was enough to feel the aura radiated, which obviously made the monsters hide in fright.

The horse walked slowly, now Kiara was in an enormous lake. It did not freeze the lake while the surroundings were frozen. Kiara's eyebrows froze because of that. She was really curious why the lake didn't freeze. 

"The lake has its own magic. There is a story that says that it is a gate." Noah's red eyes saw Kiara, he knew that Kiara felt something. Noah's mouth reopened. He had to explain so that this woman in front of him was satisfied. 

Noah pointed in front of her and made Kiara follow the direction pointed by Noah. 

"I met you there. Your body is in the middle of the lake, covered in the blinding light of the eyes, hovering over the lake. I went into the lake to help you." 

Even though she had used her coat, Kiara still felt a chill. What about Noah getting into this lake? 

Kiara saw Noah, her face looked very firm as hell. The powerful character is clearly visible. 

"Does the lake have warm water?" 

Noah smiled faintly at Kiara's innocent question, he got off his horse and measured both hands so Kiara could get off. Kiara complied with Noah's wishes. She was now on a snow-filled plain. Seeing Noah walking, Kiara followed him until they were on the outskirts of the lake. 

"Touch it. You'll know the answer." 

Kiara became thumping herself at this. She finally crossed her knees and touched a little of the lake water. 

Kiara's eyes were perfectly rounded. She withdrew her hand hurriedly. Only slightly she touched the lake water, but it felt like her whole body was frozen!

"Gosh! It's colder than snow..." Kiara looked at Noah in disbelief, the man responded casually. 

How could the man not die when he got into the lake without rethinking? They are just strangers.
