As Cecilia tried to process Jonathon's words, her cheeks began to heat up. She could not help but wonder what had prompted this sudden change in his behavior. Although she had always found him attractive, she had never considered an actual relationship with him. Cecilia had been focusing on surviving while trying to figure out how to get home.
Now, as he stood in front of her, confessing his feelings, she felt a mixture of excitement and anxiety.
Cecilia cleared her throat nervously. "I appreciate the sentiment, but you still haven't explained what's going on with you. How can you be a part of him?" she asked, trying to get some clarity on the situation.
Before responding, Jonathon let out a long sigh. Why was she making this difficult? "It's complicated. Let's just say that I've been dormant for a long time, and now I'm awake. Just leave it at that for now."
