CHAPTER 6 The Battle Royale

　　Cecilia entered the room to find it empty. She could see a door across the way and figured that’s where everyone was. Cecilia took the edge of her dress and ripped at it to allow her to move. She looked around the room and noticed the only weapons left were brass knuckles. Cecilia slipped them over her hands.

　　She was not a fighter.

　　Cecilia could defend herself well, but inflicting pain on someone else wasn’t something that she did. She usually tried to avoid danger, but she didn’t have a choice if she wanted to help Terri. Cecilia opened the door and fell into line with the crowd of humans in the bottom area of the stadium. She couldn’t see Terri amongst the crowd and didn’t want to yell to draw attention to herself.

　　"Well, wasn't that a delightful show of what the most exquisite shops had to offer? Now, let's move on to the next stage of our celebration: The Battle Royale!" the announcer yelled.
