The Vampire's Curse

She was not the woman of his dreams. She was rather the woman who came and turned his life upside down. Did love even exist? Why did she have to forgive him for things he did? He did not do them because he loved her. He did them because he wanted them all to herself. He didn't want to lose her and did what would benefit him. He never thought about others so why would she think about him. She was only meant to save herself. She was not some Messiah who came to deliver the world. As she looked at him all she felt was disgust. She didn't think that she loved him anymore. She didn't have a soul. He had destroyed it. His eyes raked over her body and he could not contain the lust that he felt towards her. His pupils turned dark as she ran her hands over his chest. He wanted to grab her by the throat and kiss her. Hold her under the moon and tell her how much he had been miserable since she had left but he knew that was not what she wanted to hear. The moon accentuated her curves and all he wanted was to run his hand all over her body. He knew it was not going to last. He had not seen her for over a decade and now she was back. He has thought that he did not feel anything for her but every time he looked at her he felt alive again. He wanted to let her go but couldn't and did not know why. It's like she was a drug that was in his system that he couldn't wash away. If he could go back in time he would have never met her. If he would have never met her a lot of things would have never happened. He was not her knight in shining armor the same way she was not the woman for his heart. She was the woman who made his life a living hell and he still did not understand why she still brought him to his knees every time.

BLOOD BANK

Katelyn was behind his brother as they made their way to town. The town was quiet and their arrival only meant one thing.

They were going to turn the white town into an unbearable place. They had a tendency or ruining things.

She knew how stubborn his brother was and arguing about stealing blood was not something she wanted to spend the rest of her afternoon talking about.

At the end of it all, she would still do what he asked her to do or he would do it alone. It was better to do it with him to make sure he didn't do anything stupid.

She loved the new town and the people there seemed to be loving. She knew this story way too much. It was always uniforms and rainbows and it always ends with them being chased out of town.

She just hoped that this time around things would not end up that way.

"We're almost there so what is the plan?", she asked her brother.

"There is no plan ", there is no plan.

"What do you mean there is no plan, did you think we were just going to go in and grab the bags of blood and walk out?", she asked him.

"Yeah you phrased it perfectly the way I thought ", he said smirking.

"That is not going to work, they will think that we have gone crazy ", she said to him.

"Not if I compel them to do what I want ", he said chuckling.

"Why did you ask me to come with you if you had it all figured out then?", she asked him.

"I just wanted my little sister to tag along, we don't spend time together that much ", he said shrugging his shoulders.

"And you thought that a robbery was the perfect way to do that ?", she asked him as they entered the hospital.

It was filled with sick people everywhere. One thing they hated about being human was sickness. It was your body why would someone be that sick?

The beds were filled with old people, coughing their throats hurt. It looked like pure torture. Death seemed like the perfect solution because what was good about going home in good health and coming to the hospital a week later?

"I hadn't thought of it like that," he said.

He spotted a blonde guy and knew he was the perfect person to compel. From the way he looked, he was just a resident or had come to learn a few things.

Which doctor flinched when a patient's wound was being cleaned? That was what they were trained for right? He flipped his hair every time in a sassy way.

The pants he wore were too tight and he kept glancing at the doctor who was cleaning his wounds. His best guess was that he was interested in him but that was not his business.

"Hey ", said Edmund as he tapped his shoulder.

"Hey," he said as he turned around.

"I wanted to know where the blood bank is", he said to him.

He opened his mouth to say something but in a second it seemed like he couldn't remember even his thoughts.

He nodded and started to walk in the direction of the blood bank.

"So what's your name blondie?", he asked him.

"Steven ", the guy said.

"Okay show us", said Edmund as he waited for Steven to move.

He was completely at his mercy. Only doing what Edmund pleased.

"Here ", said Steven as they reached the blood bank.

"Do you have the key ?", he asked him.

"Yeah ", he said as he took the key from his pocket and opened the door for them.

Katelyn was in her world. She was still admiring the equipment at the hospital. She was amazed at how fast technology had changed.

"Okay thanks ill be hit in a few ", said Edmund.

Lastly pitied the young boy his brother had compelled. She never understood why she always did it. She saw a doctor coming their way and wondered if his brother was going to stay there for long.

He was amazed by the amount of blood that was stored there. If they were living in their world he would have bought all of it just so that he could never lack.

The people didn't need that much blood. He needed it.

He wondered if he would first start by quenching his thirst or packing the blood that they needed.

His insides were killing him and he could not just stand there looking at blood without having a taste first.

As the doctor approached them she kept glancing at the door hoping her brother would come out at any second. He wouldn't be stupid enough to start feeding on there but he was stupid enough and she had to find a way to drive the doctor away.

"Hey ", she says to the doctor as she reached the door

"Hey, can I help you?" the nurse asked her.

"Yeah, I want you to go and ask the doctor what she needed again, tell him you forgot. You've been having migraine since morning ", said Katelyn.

It almost sounded like a whisper but the doctor turned around and left.

Edmund emerged from the blood bank with a bag full of blood. It was going to last them a while until they figured out how they were going to feed.

"What took you so long ?", asked Katelyn as she peeked in the bag.

"Nothing I was just feeling thirsty ", he said as he wiped the blood at the corner of his mouth.

"Okay come on let's go, I had to compel someone so they wouldn't find you ", she said.

"You're saying it like it's a bad thing. No one asked you to do it. I could have easily handled however it was as if they found me in there ", he said as he left.

It was at times like this that she wondered why it was not east to kill them. She could kill him and put him in a coffin fit for a couple of hours until she was no longer angry at him but that would take a lifetime.
