The ride home was thick with silence, the air heavy after the confrontation. No one dared to speak, each absorbed in their thoughts, processing the chaos that had happened earlier.
Jayden, sitting in the front passenger seat, finally mustered the courage to break the silence. "I'm really sorry, sir. We should've come with them from the start." Daniel shook his head. "No. It's not your fault. I'm the fool for falling into their trap... again." His gaze shifted briefly to Anastasia, who stared out of the window, her expression unreadable. He wondered what she was thinking but didn't dare ask.
"Should I call the legal department for a meeting, sir?" Jayden asked, his voice low, trying to gauge the mood.
