Yes Alpha, I understand! We will remember that! Kyle said and hung up the phone.

What did he say when you informed him about today's events at the bar and with Charlie? Karl asked as he walked out of his bedroom and into the kitchen while drying his hair.

That we should under no circumstances expose our powers in front of a number of people since others may trace us back to the pack. Kyle sarcastically answered

The usual huh? I swear that I think we need to do like Bella and wear costumes yes! I'm sure he'd agree to that! Not even a how are we doing? Are we okay? Karl said annoyed.

You above all people know how our Alpha is! He doesn't see us as his kids most times but as pack members and treats us as such! Kyle said.

I'm so hungry right now and there's nothing to eat! I'm ordering pizza! Karl said and walked into his bedroom to get his phone.

Hey Charlie, I'm ordering pizza, would you like any? Karl called out to Charlie as he gently knocked on her door.

Sure with pineapple please! Charlie shouted out.

Who the hell likes pineapples on pizza? I'm sure it's a chick thing! Karl muttered softly

Sure no problem! Karl said loudly

The things you do for love! Kyle said and grinned

So the bartender told me about another hot spot that opens around two in the morning! He says it's a Gentlemen's  Club! You want to check it out tomorrow? Kyle asked casually

What about Charlie? Karl asked

Charlie should sit this one out because as I said, its mostly for men. Besides it's the last place that we want her seeing what happened today and hearing what father just warned us about! Kyle replied as he checked out the location of the club on his phone

And who would you both be speaking about? Charlie asked as she entered the room in a shorts and vest with her hair in a ponytail. She was five feet and slender with brown hair and a bronzed complexion. Her eyes was hazel and she had a oval face.

Karl immediately turned red when he saw her. His throat began to get extremely dry and it seemed like it was quite hard for him to swallow.

We were speaking about checking out a men's club tomorrow night and was saying that it was safer if you remained here at the house. Kyle answered when he saw Karl wearing his usual puppy face as soon as Charlie entered the room.

Really? So why not have this conversation when I was present! You know that I have powers like you both right? Charlie said angrily and stood with her hands on her waist as she glared at Karl and Kyle.

Charlie look what happened today and we weren't even there more than five hours! Besides father wants us to keep a low profile and you know we won't allow anything to happen to you so please just stay home and watch some movies, drink some wine and relax. Kyle pleaded.

Fine! It's not like I had a say in the matter seeing that my fate was already decided by Karl and you! Charlie answered.

Oh my gosh, totally a drama queen Charlie! Are you Lizzy's biological  sister by chance? Kyle said laughing.

Before Charlie had time to answer, Kyle's phone rang. He looked at the number and saw that it was the Alpha and immediately answered,

Yes Alpha! Kyle answered.

Karl and Charlie immediately knew something was deeply wrong judging from the way Kyle's demeanor changed instantaneously.

How is he doing? Kyle asked sympathetically and then Karl and Charlie saw something that they had never seen in their entire lifespan knowing their team member. Kyle's eyes slowly filled with water and tears began to slide down his face.

We'll be there as soon as we can! Kyle finally said and hung up. Kyle's head remained bowed for quite a while as he continued to swipe at his face with his hands.

Kyle, what's going on? What happened at home? Karl asked immediately.

Kyle then looked at Charlie and finally at Karl, tears falling uncontrollably from his face,

We have to leave for the mountains right now! Lizzy and James were attacked in their home. Lizzy was kidnapped and James was badly beaten, and hasn't regain consciousness since they found him! Kyle said in a hoarse voice.

 Nooo I spoke to her a day ago and they was good. Charlie cried.

Who the fuck could have done that? Lizzy and James are a powerful couple combined with both their powers! Common let's leave right now! Karl said and ran into his room to get dressed

The doorbell rang and Charlie went to it and collected the pizza and shoved it in the refrigerator. Five minutes later, the three was headed towards the mountains with Kyle taking full advantage of the speeding 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. A drive that would usually take them an hour and a half was reduced significantly.

Let this be the first and the last time you drive in any emergency! You'd think I would have learned from what you did Bella and running into an asteriod so many years ago!  How you've survived this long is beyond me Kyle! Karl said shakily trying to ease some of the tension in the car and get Kyle to slow down.

It was only when Karl said those words did Kyle relaxed his hands on the steering wheel and eased his foot of the accelerator a little, remembering what had happen so many years ago while he sped home.

Charlie did Lizzy mention that she was working on anything? Kyle asked.

I don't recall her saying any thing of the sort per se Kyle. Charlie answered softly from the backseat sniffling.

Charlie please! I know this is hard for you but anything would help! Kyle pleaded.

What was she checking at the settlement that she insisted on staying back? Karl asked

There's this one time about two weeks ago that she mentioned something was not right at the settlement. She said that something about his movements didn't seem right. But when I asked who, she said she didn't have any proof as yet and that until she does she can't say anything so as to not upset the Alpha.  Charlie stated.

That makes so much sense now. Only someone from our pack would be able to infiltrate our security system and do something like this because they would know about our unique powers. Whatever you guys see or hear there later, don't mention it to anyone. Not even the Alpha because we can't trust anyone at this point! Kyle said and looked at Karl and Charlie until they shook their heads in agreement.

Yessss, keep your eyes on the road will you? Karl stammered.

So who ever is behind this knows our weaknesses as well, seeing that he or she or they were able to capture Liz and do such damage to James. Karl added.

Yup, that's exactly what I'm thinking. Kyle said as he neared the gates.

Hey Joe, what's going on? Kyle asked when he saw that the gates didn't open for his car

Hey Kyle, Karl and Charlie. I'm sorry to do this but your father have commanded that every car going in or out of the community be checked thoroughly after what has happened to Lizzy and James. Joe said softly as he flashed his light on each face and inside the vehicle.

It's okay Joe, the trunk is already opened. You have to do your job right!. Kyle stated.

Joe can I see the station records book of the vehicles that have been in and out of the compound for a few minutes please, if it's no problem? Kyle asked.

It's no problem Kyle! I'll do anything to help get back Lizzy! Joe said and went back into the booth and opened the gate and brought the book to him.

Is it okay if I snap some pictures of the pages? Kyle asked.

Kyle you do what you have to do. I've know you kids since you were all pups. You know I'll help in any way I can! And I understand why you may want to look at the records because I checked it too! There's nothing off which tells me that this was an inside job! Joe replied.

Kyle just looked at Joe intensely and then he quickly took the pictures of the pages and handed it back to Joe. While Karl took Kyle's phone and began going over the records that Kyle had just taken on his phone.

Joe is there anyone who's not recorded when they go in and out of the settlement? Karl asked

We don't record the goings of the Alpha and his family. You all are the only people excluded! Joe said with his head bowed

Thanks Joe, take care! Kyle said and sped off.

Karl just send the pictures to your phone. I want you to go through it thoroughly and see if you find anything as soon as you get time! Kyle ordered

We're going to Lizzy's house first and then we'll go to the main house and meet with the Alpha. Kyle said.

Kyle you guys can't honestly think that your family have anything to do with this? Charlie asked incredulously.

Right now everyone is a suspect Charlie even the Alpha! Kyle said and stopped the car directly in front of Lizzy and James's house.

Kyle quickly opened the door and walked around the car while Charlie and Karl got out. As soon as they arrived to the front door they were stopped by several of their pack members who worked on the security team for their father.

Kyle, Karl and Charlie, how can we help you? Blake, his father's top security member greeted them as he came out the house.

We need to go in and check the place! Kyle said.

Not without the Alpha's authorization kids! I'm sorry but we're under strict orders at the moment. Blake answered.

Charlie get on to father and let him know we're her at Liz's house and can't get in so he can authorize it. Mind if we walk around the house while that's being done Blake? Kyle asked sternly.

Nope, you can go on around and do that until your authorization is confirmed. Blake replied.

Thanks, Kyle said as he and Karl began to walk to the side of the house which lead to the backyard.

Five minutes later, Kyle and Karl was interrupted with their search when Charlie called out to them and showed them a thumbs up signal. Immediately they went back to the front and entered the house while Blake nodded at them and opened the door.

It's quite messy in there but your father says it's to remain as is because he has a private investigator coming there to check the place later so please take these gloves and try not to move anything. Blake said sympathetically knowing that the house was completely ransacked.

A private investigator? Quite interesting! Kyle muttered under his breath as he took a pair of gloves and slipped it on and walked inside. Karl and Charlie followed him and as soon as they entered through the doorway, they saw the place was in shambles and immediately all three faces had a grim expression.

Charlie go upstairs and check the bedrooms and see if you find anything unusual. Kyle ordered.

Karl take the kitchen and recreational room while I take the study and living room. Kyle continued.

Immediately everyone separated and began searching for any hints or clues that could help them find Lizzy. They all knew Lizzy and they knew that she always took a proactive approach. She had to have hidden a hint for them to find,  out in open sight and so the team began to look for it!
